01.01.2022 Casting a shadow Overshadowing of Princes Park is a major concern for Melbourne City Council. This Council is the custodian of Princes Park and is serious a...bout protecting the amenity of the park for all users and for the trees and birds. An article in The Age on Saturday June 2 shows the extent of the overshadowing into the park and neighbouring houses. Rather than the 14 stories as currently proposed, a height of 4 levels would allow the park to remain in sunlight all year around. See more
