Both a recent Dairy Supply Chain Study and the Princes Highway West traffic assessment agree that road infrastructure improvements and overtaking opportunities are important to improve road safety on this section of the Highway.

08.01.2022 The Road Safety Forum was held in Geelong last night with the Geelong Addy reporting today ... Residents got to take their road safety concerns directly to Police and Emergency Services Minister Lisa Neville last night as part of a regional road safety forum. Ms Neville, who opened last nights Towards Zero Regional Road Safety Forum at GMHBA Stadium, said the Government remained committed to tackling the increasing rates of death and injury on our roads.... Ms Neville said this years deaths have been overwhelmingly on regional roads with the vast majority in the Western District about 40 per cent. Looking forward to tonights forum in Portland where discussions surrounding the Princes Highway West will be on the agenda.

07.01.2022 Today is national day of road safety action when emergency services around the nation are shining a light on road trauma and bringing it to the forefront of the communitys mind. The Victorian road toll is currently 181, thats 57 more than for the same time last year. The south-west toll is 10 compared to eight for all of last year.... Lets get those upgrade works on Princes Highway started!
