25.01.2022 We’ve introduced life size 'Swift' wings to the cellar door. The wings are taken from our Swift Sparkling label. The Printhie logo also features the ‘Swift’ bird. Painted by the clever Alicia McDonell. #teamprinthie had a bit of fun with the wall prior to our 10 yr Swift Sparkling event.

23.01.2022 What a night! Last week we celebrated 10 yrs since the inception of our Swift Sparkling range at a sit-down dinner in the cellar door. Seven courses were matched with our sparklings including a taste of undisgorged sparkling to demonstrate the methode traditionnelle process. We also formally launched the newest member of the Swift Sparkling range the Blanc de Noirs. It was certainly a team effort with Charlie (our viticulturist) shucking 16 dozen oysters from Signature Oyst...ers. We also need to say a very big thank you to Lauren from Winery Experiences Orange for spending several hours with Charlie and demonstrating her secret oyster shucking skill! 23.01.2022 We’re excited to be teaming up with Saddler and Co to bring you a specially curated Father’s Day gift pack. Representing skilled local craftsmanship, the pack contains three bottles of Topography Cabernet and a Saddler & Co Card Wallet. Saddler & Co handcraft fine leather goods out of their workshop based in Dubbo, NSW. Their enduring designs and finely made wares will last a lifetime. The card wallet is made from Kangaroo leather in a classic dark brown colour, perfect... for daily use. The Topography Cabernet has been crafted in open fermenters, hand plunged, with 14 days on skins for gentle tannin extraction and preservation of fruit purity. Matured in 1-3 year old oak barrels as well as 3,500 litre French oak foudre barrels for 10 months. A lovely varietal expression of ripe Cabernet blackcurrant, redskin, a hint of leafiness and chocolaty oak. It does have cellaring potential over the next 5-8 years but is hard to resist enjoying now - especially on Father's Day! Think warming lamb dishes or as the perfect accompaniment for a cheese platter. This gift pack represents Australian made craftsmanship at its finest. 22.01.2022 Pruning is underway in one of the highest vineyards in Australia and the highest in the Orange region. Whilst harvest is a long way off we feel like this is one step closer to vintage 2021. We’d like to forget all about smoke tainted vintage 2020.

21.01.2022 It’s a sparkling trifecta! We were thrilled to be awarded the Best Sparkling Trophy for the Swift NV Rosé at the 2020 NSW Wine Awards for the third year in a row. The NV Rosé also received the trophy in 2019 and the Cuvée in 2018. It’s been a long 10 years since we first decided to invest the time, skill and patience to create a sparkling range that focusses on complexity achieved from extensive lees aging (the youngest is 5 years old and our Blanc de Blancs is now 10 year...s old). We’re committed to continuing our sparkling journey and sharing our passion for premium sparkling. 21.01.2022 This has to be one of our most favourite events so far. A beautiful afternoon amongst the Sundowner apple trees in our Cellar Door orchard to celebrate the launch of Sophie Hansen's Local is Lovely new cook book 'In Good Company' and 'In Good Company' we certainly were. Guests enjoyed an afternoon tea of delicious recipes from Soph's beautiful new book and sipped on our Pinot Gris and Swift Sparkling. It was truly an 'estate to plate' event with apples from the orchard use...d in the amazing apple pies. Guests were also encouraged to pick their own apples as well. The tables were set-up in the very spot where Soph photographed us for the Winter chapter of the book. Many hands were needed to make this event come to life and we'd like to thank Em's mum Cathie for making all the tablecloths and her Dad, Ian, for all the mowing and heavy lifting. A big thanks to The Little Big Dairy Co. for supplying us with amazing double cream, @theflourmillerswife for making the 100 scones and Helen Whittle for taking the beautiful images. The tables were decorated with dahlias from Mayfarm Flowers. Finally, a very big thank you to everyone who attended. We had so much fun that we may just have to do it again. See more

21.01.2022 Planted 18 months ago these young Pinot Noir vines are ready for their first pruning. Charlie demonstrates how we prep them to ensure many ‘fruitful’ years to come. The grapes from these vines will end up in our premium Swift Sparkling range and have been planted at our new site less than 10 minutes from Orange situated at 1000 metres above sea level.

20.01.2022 A very delirious celebration by Charlie Simons and Dave Swift after harvesting for 40 hrs straight. They managed to get all the grapes into the winery before the rain came. But vintage isn’t over yet. Drew Tuckwell and his team are continuing to work hard in the winery. Vintage is still very much in progress!

Charlie would love to be a professional soccer goal keeper when he grows up. Other favourite sports include soccer, cricket and hockey (couldn't possibly choose just one). Favourite movie is of course the classic Crocodile Dundee 2 and Charlie loves hand picking grapes during harvest.

05.01.2022 Introducing the newest member of the Swift Sparkling range - the 2016 Blanc de Noirs. We've released this in celebration of 10 years of our methode traditionnelle range. Unlike the rest of the Swift range, the Blanc de Noirs is 100% Pinot Noir and has 30% of its blend volume fermented in older barrels, not for oakiness but for savoury complexity. It is a richer, more powerful sparkling and great with food such as duck pancakes.
