25.01.2022 We thought we would share some of the Jolly Phonic songs we sing to keep the children familiar with the sounds we have been practicing

24.01.2022 Today's sound.......'t'

24.01.2022 Dear parents and carers, We know that these are worrying times and that the recent briefing has left many of you with questions or concerns. The Department for Education released a statement that early years and educational settings should prepare to receive more children into our setting. We are reviewing the guidance, and therefore, ask that you bear with us as it will take some time for us to develop our plans and to inform you of any changes that will be made over the n...ext few weeks. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Mrs Coates and Mrs Stonebridge See more

23.01.2022 Wishing you all a very Happy Easter

22.01.2022 These are lovely

22.01.2022 So this couldn't be truer at the moment in our household I've lost the dining room table, which has been transferred into the school desk my hopes of a lovely spring clean may be squashed at this time but we are learning and having fun so we are truly winging each day I hope you are all adjusting to the new normal in your households

22.01.2022 Good afternoon, We hope you are all well, I would like to apologise for not posting as frequently but we have been thinking of you all throughout. We understand many children may be asking questions regarding when and if preschool will return, and at this point we are unable to confirm when this will be but please be assured and reassure your children we are doing everything possible to make sure that when we do open we will be able to provide them with a safe place to see their friends. Please tell the children the ladies are missing them all dearly. Please keep safe and we will continue to post some ideas/activities and any updates we have. Keep safe and speak soon

20.01.2022 Good morning, we hope everyone is keeping well and wanted to make a couple of announcements to you all. It is with great sadness that we must inform you of some changes to our staffing from September, please note these are not related in anyway to COVID-19 and the decisions had been made long before the pandemic began. Firstly Mrs Swann will be leaving us in July to relocate with her family to begin a new journey in sunny Cornwall, Mrs Swann has been a wonderful asset to o...ur team and whilst we will miss her being part of our team we wish her all the happiness in her new venture xxx Secondly, Mrs Coates has decided it is time for her to retire from preschool and spend more time with her husband and family. Mrs Coates has been the heart of our preschool for so long watching not only our current children grow but many of our parents when they attended the preschool who now attend with their own children, We are so so sad to see you leave us Mrs Coates but I am sure everyone will join me in thanking you for helping us all learn, grow and valuing us all as the individual's we all are but we wish you all the happiness in your next stage in life With these changes in mind we would like to inform you that Mrs Stonebridge will be taking on the role of Head of preschool, and Mrs Keates will be taking the role Deputy Head of Preschool, we are currently advertising on indeed for a practitioner to join our team from Septemebr so if you know of anyone who would like to join our team please ask them to apply, I know this is a long post and I apologise however we wanted to keep up all up to date with the changes that are happening to the preschool team See more

18.01.2022 Today we started the day with Andy's wild workouts on the Cbeebies iplayer, I found Jackson was struggling with Joe Wickes each morning and these sessions are much shorter and aimed at the younger children

18.01.2022 So we have reached another year where the term has ended and our Junior preschoolers have officially left us in readiness for their new adventures at school To say this year has not gone how we had imagined is an understatement but we have been lucky enough to welcome most of our children back to finish the year together in the best way we could under the circumstances, with fun, laughter biscuits and ice-cream We will miss our children over the summer and want to reit...erate our pride in their resilience during this uncertain time and thank them for being absolutely amazing whilst being challenged with change and uncertainty whether that was at home, returning to preschool or adapting to the new normal in their daily routine YOU HAVE ALL BEEN WONDERFUL To the ladies who have been able to return, you have helped ease the reopening and make the day seem as normal as possible for everyone and the smiles on all of the children's faces each week have proved how amazing you all are so a big thank you to you Parents we can not thank you enough for your continued support and understanding whilst facing the challenges of following the forever changing guidance!!! But also for your kind and generous words, cards and gifts they all touch our hearts and make us all feel very loved and appreciated To Mrs Coates and Mrs Swann We officially say goodbye to you both and whilst again this hasn't been the send off we wanted to give you or you deserve we hope you know how much we will miss you and thank you for everything Have the most wonderful summer everyone, enjoy the sun fun and laughter and for those returning in September, we look forward to seeing you all and welcoming our next generation of preschoolers and to those beginning school have the most fantastic time we know you will have the best time and more than ready for the next challenge Once again thank you all and have a wonderful summer See more

17.01.2022 Good morning everyone, We hope you have received all of your emails and more importantly received the news you were hoping for If you dont want to share on this post send us a private message so we can make note of which schools our children will be attending we hope the little ones are excited to find out the names of their schools

14.01.2022 Important information****** It has been reported to me that the children from the travelling community are urinating on the play equipment, swearing spitting and fighting and in the past hour they have been seen using the slide to slide glass bottles down.........whilst I do not want to advise you not to visit the park I would strongly advise that any visits to the park are made with extreme caution and care........if you witness any behaviours that are unacceptable please do... report to the police immediately so they can support the local community in the area....... In light of the recent events with this community in particular I will not be enforcing the one way system for the duration of their stay.....for me you and your families immediate safety is paramount and if you feel unsafe travelling via the carpark we will not be enforcing any one way system but I do ask that you do endeavour to meeting social distancing where you can. Thank you for your understanding and please please stay safe........... See more

14.01.2022 Good afternoon, we hope you are all ok, and been enjoying the summer Just a little note to ask our new parents for September to check their emails as a letter regarding the new term has been sent. We look forward to welcoming everyone back from Thursday 3rd September. Thank you

13.01.2022 Ive just seen this and thought I would share.... What if??? If they cancel the rest of the school year, primary students could miss 4 months of education. Many people are concerned about students falling behind because of this. Yes, they may fall behind when it comes to classroom education...... But what if... What if instead of falling behind", this group of kids are ADVANCED because of this? Hear me out... What if they have more empathy, they enjoy family connection, they can be more creative and entertain themselves, they love to read, they love to express themselves in writing. What if they enjoy the simple things, like their own backyard and sitting near a window in the quiet. What if they notice the birds and the dates the different flowers emerge, and the calming renewal of a gentle rain shower? What if this generation are the ones to learn to cook, organise their space, do their washing, and keep a well run home? What if they learn to stretch a pound and to live with less? What if they learn to plan shopping trips and meals at home. What if they learn the value of eating together as a family and finding the good to share in the small delights of the everyday? What if they are the ones to place great value on our teachers and educational professionals, librarians, public servants and the previously invisible essential support workers like truck drivers, grocers, cashiers, custodians, logistics, and health care workers and their supporting staff, just to name a few of the millions taking care of us right now while we are sheltered in place? What if among these children, a great leader emerges who had the benefit of a slower pace and a simpler life to truly learn what really matters in this life? What if they are AHEAD?

02.01.2022 Day one so far in Mrs Stonebridges home school, we have joined Joe Wickes for our morning PE session Elisha wrote a letter to herself about her likes and interests, what is going on in the world and what she would like to do when she is older and stuck it into her COVID-19 scrap book followed by spellings practice Jackson began practising is adding skills in maths and letter recognition competing his word search, on mini beasts We have then painted some rainbows too pu...t in the windows so when people are able to go for socially distanced walks they have something to look for My two little ones are now having lunch break and Mrs Stonebridge a lovely cup of tea There are so many activities to do for all ages, people are showing such generosity and offering services and support for everyone Stay safe and healthy See more
