24.01.2022 As the number of COVID-19 cases increased in Indonesia, the government has mandated the closure of public facilities including schools. It began in March and still continues until further notice. YUM’s management team decided to also close all of the activities involving a gathering of people, like the community library, afternoon tutoring activities and of course, the Vocational Training Centre (VTC). 20.01.2022 In December 2019 we were able to report that the Building had been completed BUT pending at that time was that kitchen fittings & furniture need to be purchased. The PHMF was able to fund these important fittings in June. Priscilla's Volunteer House is attached to Harapan House & this kitchen will also service Harapan. This has made a great difference for Carlos & his team. After Corona to be able to offer this standard of accommodation is important to attract Volunteers from Indonesia & overseas. https://www.priscillahall.org//priscillas-volunteer-house/

02.01.2022 Since the government mandated closure and cancellation of all facilities and activities involving small or large gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have complied to do the same with all of YUM's projects for the safety of our students. However YUM continues to be committed to serving the communities in both West Java and Central Kalimantan. With support from YUM's donors, including Priscilla Hall Memorial Foundation, YUM managed to provide various kinds of assistance to its beneficiaries. These include continuing to use cloth masks and maintaining cleanliness. Conditions have had an impact on the people who are assisted by FMCH Indonesia living in two remote villages, Nunleu Village and Mio Village.
