24.01.2022 Those that know me KNOW that I really don’t like going slow; these days, now that We have Priscilla, that means holding 100kmph up ANY hill ......so something had to give..... We started with 260hp and 550lbft and tuned the Cummins ISB to 310 and and about 650lbft of torque and at the very edge of what that Allison Automatic could handle. It’s always had a lot of blowby but catch cans and extra engine venting controlled an issue I knew we would eventually had to deal with. ...Finally after 25,000 k it’s started to smoke and I’m sure it’s a broken piston ring. So rebuild and upgrade time for both the motor and trans with a trick turbo, bigger injectors, higher compression pistons and 1000lbft torque upgrade on the trans. All aimed for a reliable 350hp and an instant 45lb of boost. Here’s the progress pics. Engine Dyno report from the engine builder to come. See more

06.01.2022 The last part of this tour was from Condimine back to base in Brisbane but we took 3 days to do it lol Can’t wait to be able to get back behind the wheel after some further mods, Maintenance and upgrades to Priscilla.
05.01.2022 Well this has been an expensive but awesome project all due to a cracked piston ring causing white smoke and huge blowby; mainly because Priscilla has been nursed around in its previous life and diesels need to be worked and not idled. here we go, pics from the engine overhaul and auto trans upgrade. what has been done you ask ? Complete and full engine overhaul with new hi compression pistons , bigger injectors, upgraded hi flow performance turbo. I witnessed my first diesel... engine on an engine dyno getting run up and power tested and despite having many race car engines on dynos in my younger days this was quite a revelation seeing the torque being generated. thanks to Brett and Dave at Alldiesels in Molindinar on the Gold Coast. James of Daltrans in Western Sydney upgraded and rebuilt the Allison Automatic transmission with new internals and valve body upgrades to hold 500hp and the big torque we now have. Ready to reinstall next week. cant wait to drive her again. See more
