25.01.2022 Sadly we will not see Ray Stuart on the floor for the rest of this year...problems with his health has put him out of action for a few weeks and being this close to the end of the term it is not really worth starting up a new class. He is keen to be back next year and we will welcome him with open arms...we are missing his great sense of humour as well as his great dance skills. Our best wishes to you Ray..speedy recovery too!!!

24.01.2022 Well...hello and welcome back to the studio users. Stella kicked off with the first session on the redone floor...with good feedback..there are many more Zumba sessions with Bec and Grainne adding to the classes offered. We held a tap workshop for our regulars just to warm up their feet...classes resume 2nd week of Feb with beginners most welcome at 9.30 Mondays and Thursdays...Lana will be taking the classes in my absence as I am off for three weeks. Please check with your regular teachers as you may find that there are some timetable changes.. may it be a great year for dancers and those using the studio....isn't being part of a group just fabulous......enjoy

24.01.2022 considering that school holidays are on we have had very good attendances at most classes...guess we are all wanting to warm up in this cold cold weather....we are on the hunt to get our costumes together as our Regis day looms....have a few new things to show them...a bit of lyrical ballet/jazz and a solo by our beautiful ballerina Rachel...I think she will delight our Regis guests..a flash back to when they attended the ballet...meantime we keep up our practice...practice..practice...in the hope of getting perfect..lol....cheers Jen

18.01.2022 I love the Facebook question "what have you been up to?"...now that I appear to be on the mend there may be something I can post pertaining to dancing...it has been a long haul and it's not over yet. Plenty of people coming to the studio for extra practice for end of year routines etc....can hardly wait to see some of them...keep dancing and stay well...cheers jenny H

16.01.2022 Have thought a lot about injuries lately and wonder if there is an opening for someone to take on people who have been injured and steer them towards health and well being...it would seem that people like myself are their own worst enemy doing too much or going too hard without realizing that they actually set themselves up for a longer recovery... Of course you have to stay sane at the same time as resting...that seems to be my problem...lol...

16.01.2022 I have just come away from a massive dance weekend at Shoal Bay...Friday night dance party...5 Saturday workshops...Saturday night dance party...5 Sunday workshops...dismantling the dance floors with an army of helpers and a follow on dinner.....I may have to travel to Newcastle several times a week for classes but to have this massive event in my own backyard[ so to speak] is phenomenal../unbelievable...thanks to Adrian at Dancevibe for organising the event....modern jive is alive and well....if you don't already do it you should. To those that know me...yes we did have class as normal this morning and the tappers were in very fine form...most likely better than me...lol...see you on the dance floor....Jen

14.01.2022 The weeks seem to be flying by...I guess for you too....what gets really scary is when we start talking Christmas routines ...and it's about that time whatever dance school you belong to....good luck to those putting their hand up to do routines...you and your dancing can only grow by this...and you will have so much fun and make deeper friendships in the process..the main thing is to enjoy your dancing...cheers Jen....

14.01.2022 I hate it when I have posted stuff and then when I look it is NOT there.....all good with the studio...no damage...although it did have to stand in as the office for Nova cruises last Thursday due to massive failures to equipment at the Salt Ash office. Today was back to normal with an added visit from Jamie.. Janet's daughter...so cute to see her having a go...if she grows up like mum she will be beaut. lots of laughter with new steps ,lots of sweat with old ones...quite a workout. Hope life is getting back to normal for our tappers....it's been one hell of a week...stay safe well and happy....cheers jenny H .

13.01.2022 We have been very busy/happy lately with all sorts of things happening...looking forward to our performance for Regis (the nursing home) late July...a couple of new students adding a bit of zing to the place and of course my beautiful group of regulars who I think the world of. Have been trying to challenge them a bit lately and they are certainly stepping up to the mark. Not bad for a group who just wanted some regular exercise and an excuse to get together...they work sol...id and constant and are a joy in my life...I hope we have lots of fun times ahead.. Marie is running the jazz/lyrical class on Monday after Tap and we are enjoying that very much...if you can spare the time stay and enjoy....We are not dancing on the Monday of the long weekend but classes run as usual otherwise. 13.01.2022 We are well on the way with our xmas concert for Regis and they are reeeeally looking forward to it. Hopefully another day to remember for them...keep practising guys!!!

12.01.2022 thought that I put a post up this week....ohhhh...me and computers NOT a good mix. About to go into school holidays...most things at the studio continue through...check with individual teachers if you are not sure....otherwise ...tappers...drama students...Irish dancers Zumba ladies...jazzers..ballet people...keep on keeping on....we are blessed to have all you wonderful students and teachers keeping us well happy and sane!!!...cheers Jen...if you are having a break...see you in a couple of weeks with bells on....

11.01.2022 I have decided that we simply have the best people at dancing. My tapping group is amazing...they are thoughtful of each other, supportive in difficult times, friendly to any new faces in class, happy and cheerful{and who doesn't need that?} and prepared to work their butts off....who could ask for more? love you guys!!!

11.01.2022 HI all...there have been a few gremlins in the computer lately so let's hope for more luck this go....many thanks to all who have been asking about my hols. All went very well and things ran very smoothly in my abscence...a new dance on the floor and some new faces as well. Sadly we say goodbye to our lovely Pippa who is making her way back to Canberra...a great send off was held and we wish her all the best. Hopefully Pip can make it back to the occasional class if visiting this way. Great to see everyone working so hard on the new stuff in class...quite sweaty some days as we head into summer...love your work (as they say)...see you on the dance floor....soon....Jen

10.01.2022 to all my lovely dancing friends /students.....many..many times I marvel at the wonderful group of people that we have at dancing. Thank you each and every one of you for participating in our Regis performance group/day. Thank you for practising, for the effort put into costumes,for baking a morning tea to die for, for helping with the residents, for cleaning up afterwards...all greatly appreciated. You have brought joy to many as well as joy to both Lana and myself. Don't forget that any of our classes are open to all of you so if you think you fancy jazz, lyrical,ballet etc....join in. It's all for fun and fitness....a great opportunity to try something different. You are Fabulous with a capitol "F"...my Private Practice all stars....!!!! Thank you so much....Jenny H

10.01.2022 today Miss Rachael started pre ballet classes for the 3-5 yr age group...anyone interested ring 0400 363 021....first class was great. look forward to future classes. At the moment the class is Wednesday 10.30...depending on numbers there is room to have a second class afterwards...or even privates....keep you posted

09.01.2022 oh dear...caught the dreaded bug going around so have had to have a few quiet days...hopefully back on board Monday as it will be my last week before heading off overseas...it seems everything can go wrong at the last minute!!! let's hope things fall into place and I can go with an easy heart knowing that my girls will look after my tappers....who knows...they may venture into unchartered territory in my absence ....I know there is a lot of untapped talent waiting to be unleashed!!! can't wait for them to show me when I get back....meantime head down getting ready to go...cheers Jen

09.01.2022 well we are into a whole new lot of steps and stuff as our Regis concert has come and gone....always good to be trying the new steps....can be quite challenging....what I do love is the enthusiasm no matter what we do....great class.....

09.01.2022 We tappers are working on a new dance..Hernandos Hideway...think it is going to look pretty good on the floor...of course the fun is when our brains don't transfer the info to our feet..but judging by the laughter our adult tappers are very happy to be back on the floor...they have keenness and perseverance in abundance!!! see you all Monday at 9.30. Meantime the zumba girls are really going at it with extra classes ...talk to Bec and Stella and now Grainne for more information on times and upcoming classes .Our very talented and beautiful Miss Rachel has kicked off her pre-ballet classes for 3-5 yr olds...anyone interested...this is low key but a very nice introduction to dance ...we are very lucky to have her. talk soon...cheers Jenny

08.01.2022 A reminder to our tappers that if they wish we have a bit of a jazz warm up before class...no experience necessary...but you must be prepared to have a bit of fun and be able to laugh at yourself or each other....come at 9.00am if you are interested....but not for a week as Marie is going away for a few days...how lucky are we that Marie turned up on our doorstep with years of experience and just as much enthusiasm....so lucky to have her....

08.01.2022 Well we have kicked into 2015 in a big way for tap...a workshop last week with Bianka which was loads of fun...this week we are into revision lessons to get our legs and feet moving. a few new faces which made the classes interesting and fun...we certainly worked up a sweat....fair bit of hilarity when we decided to have a run through of our dances in view of our upcoming performance for the nursing home....seems holidays don't do our brains any favours!!!! time ahead to get them straightened out though....any interested adult tappers ...Monday and Thursday mornings at 9.30a.m.....come at 9.00 a.m. if you are a true beginner....

08.01.2022 Can't believe that we are into another week...already starting to blur!!! Cheerleading starting at the studio this week...sounds very energetic and loads of fun....plenty of sessions...Lucy is in charge...more new tappers on the way...seems lots of people have made fun exercise their priority this year....see you on the dancefloor somewhere...Jen

04.01.2022 quite a few interesting steps at tap this week which put the brains into overdrive!!! many laughs as we tried to get it right...doesn't always work...but 100% effort and 100% enthusiasm....which is what counts in my book. Expecting a few return people on Monday and a few Newies who want to look and try...Monday at 9am for beginners...can stay on as long as you like...coffee after...quite social...good fun...cheers jen....

04.01.2022 I would like to mention that at Williamtown (the Union Hall) there is modern jive on a Thursday night at 6.30 for beginners 8.00 for intermediate...fabulous teachers in Brent and Corina...we need people who love to dance. No experience necessary..but you will have a fun time...come along and give it a go...would love to see a crowd . This is a rotational class...no partner necessary...bring some friends...

03.01.2022 Big tap practice today as we have the nursing home coming to visit the studio next week....a captive audience so to speak.. haha hopefully the first of several visits as we have lots of interested residents...

03.01.2022 If anyone is interested in either Ballroom or Modern Jive...keep watching as I am trying to get things started here in the Bay...the hardest part is matching up teachers with free time in the studio...

03.01.2022 must still be some flood/power/tree problems about...although an increase in attendance we still have some of our very regular tappers missing...hopefully their lives and homes are getting back to normal. Class this week was full on with all of us being fairly wrecked by the end of it....a good wrecked though!!! after all...it is what we come for...exercise, laughter ,learning and of course coffee!! may I say... it is an absolute pleasure to be teaching these people...and heartwarming to see their commitment and effort.
