18.01.2022 In light of the COVID-19 pandemic & the requirement for shutting down a lot of businesses, we are seeing a huge increase in people working remotely from home. In conjunction with this, and even for remaining people in an office, the utilisation of online collaborative platforms such as our own 3CX WebMeeting and others like Microsoft Teams, Zoom etc., we need to prepare for a tsunami of phishing attacks aimed at users of these services. The scammers will exploit the newness of these platforms to many people who’ve not previously used them. Just like people are targeted once their email is migrated to O365. Be extra vigilant when you receive an unsolicited email requesting that you ‘reactivate’, ‘verify’, ‘update’ etc. your credentials; these are ALWAYS fake. Stay safe folks, not just in person, but online too.

04.01.2022 Please be careful. The amount of spam and scams has skyrocketed in recent days/weeks. A lot of people are now, for the first time, working remotely. They are being preyed upon by these scammers. Do not fall for emails, SMS etc. trying to get you to provide credentials. We need to be hypervigilant. Assuming that's a real word......
