24.01.2022 Customers please note, due to the unprecedented snow falls in Launceston & surrounding areas I am unable to get to the workshop at the moment. Roads are closed in our area due to fallen trees & snow. No power, but lucky we wired the house to take a generator Will update page as soon as possible.... Cheers Ricky

24.01.2022 Valued customers please note that due to an injury Pro-Carb Tasmania is temporarily closed. We will update this page as soon as we know how severe the injury is. Cheers Ricky Hunt Update ... Things have turned out better than we first thought. I have damaged one of my knees which I have previous history with. Tests show a few days rest & I should be back at it Tuesday 2/6/20 Thanks for all the messages & gestures & sorry it didn’t turn out to be more spectacular. Sorry for any inconvenience to our clients at this time. Cheers Ricky

24.01.2022 Triple Stromberg restoration, I have done them before & posted them on my page before but these are something different. This set up is home made, the centre carby is a 202 carby & the outer ones are 186. The centre carb runs the engine at low speed & the outer ones have a progressive linkage system that brings the outer ones in, at about 1/3 throttle & all three are open wide at full throttle. It will be interesting to see these operating again.

23.01.2022 Another set of Holden 6 Triple 45 DCOE Weber’s finished & ready to head back to the owner. I love working on these & seeing how well they come up.

20.01.2022 Another little XU-1 Torana 175 CD build, carbys had been dismantled & ultra sonically cleaned & it all went a bit pear shape before they were sent to us. They took a bit to clean up, but they are all good now, fully restored & ready for their new life.

17.01.2022 Last post for the year, pictures of some of the more unusual carburettors I have restored this year. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our customers & followers the very best for Christmas & New Year, be safe, happy & get those cars out. Cheers, Catch you next year

17.01.2022 Attending the Baskerville historic’s race meeting this weekend, wondering around talking to people & watching some awesome racing. Out in the car park was an arrangement of vehicles for a show & shine & came across this old classic with a set of triple carbs I did for it. Fantastic to see these jobs on the road & in person.

16.01.2022 Had this set up in for some loving. 6 x 94 duel throat Holley carburettors of a early 60’s marine ply speed boat. Carbys had been left with water in them & had corroded badly internally. All passages had to be physically re-drilled to allow fuel to flow again. All in all they didn’t come up too bad & the owner was stoked.... (A couple of picture the owner sent in)

15.01.2022 Another set of LJ XU-1 carbys in for a bit of a make over. Sent down to Tassie from NSW

08.01.2022 Does any of our followers or friends know of anybody, or a company that does 3D printing ? I am in need of having a part manufactured that is not available to buy & is always broken on early Falcon Holley carburettors. I have searched the net & there are a few around but looking for a recommendation if anyone can help.

06.01.2022 Something a little different, set of twin Asian carburettors I did last week for a KE10 Corolla before & after

06.01.2022 Another old school triple carby set up for early Holden grey motor

04.01.2022 It’s been a hectic 3 months here a Pro-Carb, building an arrangement of different types of carburettors for peoples restoration projects. Thought it was about time to post some new pictures.

03.01.2022 Valued customers please note Thursday the 8th of October is gazetted as a public holiday in Launceston, for the Launceston Show. However due to Covid the show was cancelled.... As a family we had decided to have a few days off, Thursday/Friday & bookings were made accordingly, pre-COVID. As a family we have decided that we are still going to have these days off. So Pro-Carb will be closed on Thursday 8th October & back at work on Tuesday 13th October. Please do NOT forward any freight/jobs next week, if the couriers run late I will not be here to receive your parcels. Cheers Ricky Hunt Pro-Carb Tasmania

03.01.2022 LC XU-1 Triple 150 CD Stromberg carburettor restoration. What started out to be a simple clean up turned into a major overhaul. Carbys had been overhauled previously by someone else & let’s say didn’t come up to owners expectations.

02.01.2022 Pro-Carb Tasmania would like to inform our customers that we will be closed for business this Friday 29/9/19. We open tomorrow at 8am to 5.30 & normal trading hours next week. Thank you
