23.01.2022 Travis Stewart of our Orange Office was on-site this morning carrying out a site inspection of a very large industrial building that is going to be re-purposed in the near future. To give an idea of its size, the floor area of this building is just shy of 9,000 square meters! As part of the change of use Pro Cert Group has been engaged to provide advice in relation to what upgrades may be necessary to the building to meet the current National Construction Code and Council requirements. From new buildings to existing buildings we are able to provide advice in relation to building regulation requirements to assist in a wide range of developments.

22.01.2022 Neil from the Dubbo Office was in Gulargambone this morning checking on the progress of the new Gulargambone Preschool building. It's great to see a project like this come together in a small regional community and even more so for it to be designed and engineered (Barnson Pty Ltd), constructed (Walsh Constructions Pty Limited) and of course certified (Pro Cert Group Pty Ltd) by companies who are all based in the local region.

18.01.2022 Congratulations on the new branch opening of Middys Data & Electrical at 176 Hammond Street (Cnr. Stuart Road), Wagga Wagga. Pro Cert Group Pty Ltd worked closely with the Design and Construction team in the certification role for this development in Wagga Wagga. Thanks goes out to the team at Middys, Peter Wright & Associates Pty Ltd (Architects), and Harris HMC (Construction) on a great refurb and fitout of the existing building on the site.

16.01.2022 Neil attended the official opening of Macquarie Home Stay this morning. It was great to see Rod Crowfoot be able to cut the red ribbon in recognition of his efforts in bringing Stage 1 of this fantastic facility to fruition. Congratulations also to the MAAS Constructions team on their construction work on the facility. The Pro Cert Group team enjoyed working with Alex Murray of Design Tribe Dubbo during the concept design phase, Geolyse during the Construction Certificate phase and MAAS Constructions during the construction phase. We look forward to the continued growth and expansion of this important facility for Dubbo and the surrounding region.

15.01.2022 Neil Diamond from our Dubbo Office gave a presentation to the Riverina Group Conference today at Tocumwal about our experiences with certification of Lightweight Separating Walls in Domestic Construction. We were also a Bronze Sponsor of this conference as we believe these regional conferences are an invaluable way to share knowledge and provide networking opportunities to professionals outside of metropolitan areas.

15.01.2022 Now thats a shed and there are two of them! Spiro from our Dubbo office has been the certifier and recently issued the Occupation Certificate for the construction of two huge sheds at a freight terminal in Dubbo, NSW. The internal dimensions of sheds are 77m clear span by 132m long by 14m high at the ridge. This gives each shed a floor area of just over 10,000 square metres and a volume of just over 106,000m. Under the National Construction Code they were assessed as Large ...Isolated Buildings which necessitates perimeter vehicle access for fire brigade vehicle access and full fire hydrant coverage. Heres some interesting figures about the amount of materials used in the construction of the sheds. There were over 1km of columns, 3.8km of trussed rafters, 17.4km of purlins and girts in the framework of the sheds. In the slabs and footings there is more than 5,000m of concrete. Congratulations to Fletcher International Exports and their staff, and the project team consisting of Southern Cross Steel, Spaceframe, Smyths Structural Steel Fabrication, Barnson Pty Ltd, MAAS Constructions (Dubbo) Pty Ltd, JLE Electrical, Lysaght Dubbo, Specialty Fasteners, Justin Moses Concreting, Tefcon - Formwork and Concreting, Porters Plumbing & Gas Fitting Service, Wormald, Holcim Concrete and KB Concrete on completing such a large project. A fantastic achievement by all involved!

15.01.2022 We are excited to announce that, after working at obtaining the necessary experience and going through the review process, one of our Directors, Neil Diamond, has been successful in having a variation to the conditions of his accreditation approved today by the NSW Building Professionals Board. This variation enables Neil to certify commercial, industrial and other larger scale developments involving Performance Solutions for non-fire safety related matters which grows our capacity to handle these projects in the future. It was a team effort to enable this process to occur and it also furthers the options for future staff development within Pro Cert Group.

14.01.2022 In just over 5 weeks time Neil Diamond of our Dubbo office will be participating in the Canberra 2 Mogo Zoo 2 Zoo ride to raise money and awareness for the Black Dog Institute. He has almost reached his goal of raising $1,000 for the Black Dog Institute and would appreciate any donations to help him reach his goal for this worthy cause. 12.01.2022 The NSW Government has officially passed a legislative order which allows for the extension of weekday construction hours onto weekends and public holidays to facilitate construction works to continue to progress and enable tradespeople to meet the social distancing requirements which apply to us all in these strange times. Whilst we have some staff working from home, arrangements have been put in place to minimise any disruption to our service levels and it is business as usual for consultancy, approvals and inspections for our valued clients. 09.01.2022 Our submission to the NSW parliamentary inquiry into the regulation of building standards was quoted in an article in the Sydney Morning Herald this week. https://www.smh.com.au//state-s-most-fined-certifier-behin With the commencement of such a significant inquiry into the building industry we felt it was important to put forward our concerns in relation to the future of certification particularly in regional areas. There is a focus on the actions of private certifiers in the media which unfortunately diverts attention away from where the reforms are really needed and there are a number of misconceptions in the community about the role of certifiers. The Association of Accredited Certifiers has produced this great myth busting document which clears up some of these common misconceptions about what we do as certifiers.

08.01.2022 28-32 Macleay Street, Dubbo has been transformed by David Payne Constructions for Amelie Housing with the construction of 21 Seniors Social Housing Units and refurbishment of the existing A frame church as a community building. A great project for Pro Cert Group Pty Ltd to be involved with and our certifiers enjoyed being able to work with the owners and builder to ensure legislative requirements were met whilst also facilitating delivery to meet the project deadlines.

03.01.2022 Stage 1 of the NSW Rural Fire Service Training Facility designed by Cradle Design was recently completed and handed over by David Payne Constructions. This stage consisted of the main Administration & Training Facility building, Gymnasium and one of the three Accommodation buildings. The next stage will see the completion of another two accommodation buildings. This is a great facility to see located in a regional area and in particular in Dubbo! Pro Cert Group Pty Ltd are proud to be involved on projects like this which provide continued growth and infrastructure to regional NSW.
