Unfortunately there will be no Snapper charters in December this year as planned. Those that have paid deposits we can look at either moving a charter to early in the new year 2020 and chase theTuna from Victor Harbour or can offer a refund. It is clear and obvious that we dont have a government that gives a f*** about small business. Our Minister for fisheries is ...an absolute puppet. Weeks of consultation and discussion re the impact that this will have on many livelihoods has become an absolute joke.... it landed on deaf ears. As an association we compromised to take another bag limit cut and even discussed reforming the industry as a whole in order to preserve stocks further but nothing was listened to. Mr Whetstone you went for the greene votes in order to to make yourself a saviour. 12 months ago you pledged in writing to help the charter industry prosper today you have destroyed it.
