19.01.2022 Its been a while, but now having been at home for over a month, I think weve all had some time to think about things-priorities, values, wants, needs, the special (and maybe not so special )people in our lives etc, etc. We are hearing a lot about Covid 19 and its widespread effects We read a lot about many of Covid 19s victims having "other"or "preexisting" health issues that may have made them more susceptible to this virus...Our world has changed overnight and in some ...ways probably for ever. Our health has always been super important, but the implications of not looking after ourselves may be clearer now than they have been in a long time. We should be talking and thinking more about STAYING healthy. While many of us may have more time, we should give some thought to our health...Maybe you can start by asking yourself? How do you feel emotionally and physically? Do you have the energy you want? Are you eating healthy nutrient dense foods that support your immune system (seasonal veggies, fruits, spices, lean proteins, healthy fats etc)? Are you eating too much junk food, sugar, or drinking too much alcohol all which can suppress your immune system? Do you want to feel better? What are your health goals? Over the next few weeks, we will try to discuss ideas and topics and share yummy recipes to think about when trying to live a healthier life. Sometimes the its the smallest things that produce the greatest results, but we all have to start somewhere! Stay healthy and safe!

11.01.2022 One of the biggest things we can all learn to apply in all aspects of our lives is mindfulness. To me, mindfulness means simply trying my best to pay attention to what I am doing and who I am with , instead of reverting to autopilot as I rush around. (And it doesnt always work!) Yesterday, I did basically all of the same things I would Normally do (exercise, bit of work, cook , chores etc,) , but the difference was that I enjoyed them all a lot more. Without the perceived t...ime pressures right now, Im not racing from one task to the next as much. I have the time ( or am making time) to be more mindful. Surprise surprise, it feels so much more satisfying. In applying mindfulness to our heath and well -being it means listening to our bodies: how do we feel, how do certain foods make us feel? vibrant , satisfied ? Or bloated and flat? Are we enjoying and eating foods that nourish us? Or are we scoffing foods that are convenient or rewards of some type? Use this time to have a think where you are at now health wise and where ultimately youd like to be? If you need a bit of help eating healthier, assistance better understanding how to stay well with improved food and lifestyle choices or just a quick confirmation of where you are at now? I can help you get back on track or get you on an even better heath track via a zoom or FaceTime consult. Please message me Or call me on 0408 199 923 to start getting proactive with your health and Well-Being.
