25.01.2022 This week’s picture of the week is a self-portrait from Sophie Day, the winner of the @deardyslexic #FacesofDyslexia2021 competition. Due to COVID, DDF were unable to run their annual gala during National Dyslexia Awareness Month. Instead they created an online competition to find the top 12 self-portraits by people with dyslexia, dyscalculia (an inability to use numbers) and dysgraphia (an inability to write) and raise awareness and funds for the foundation in the process.... Day says: This artwork shows me in new territory dealing with the unknown and sometimes uncomfortable nature of dyslexia. But also the ability to find joy and happiness in the unknown. The top portraits will form the DDF 2021 calendar. Watch this video to see the other entries: bit.ly/2GuHUoE
