This was the first time the Club gathered again since February where members were happy to see each other once again. 05.01.2022 President John from Terrace End Probus Club in New Zealand, loves flying! John began gliding in 1977 and is now the Chief Flying Instructor at Gliding Manawatu. During lockdown, he then attempted a virtual flight simulator offered by Microsoft. ... John says "The simulator accurately models aircraft flight characteristics, weather and terrain features." 05.01.2022 The Miami Combined Probus Club has continued to stay connected and active as restrictions permits. During lockdown, the Club resorted to regular phone calls and Zoom meetings. Last month they were happy to visit a local council park to hold a Club barbeque and induct a new member. President John says It was great to see those smiling faces again and there was no doubt that everyone enjoyed a wonderful day catching up with news and relating to old friends again. ... 01.01.2022 On a beaut day, 53 members from the Hobart Macquarie Probus Club (TAS) ventured in their private cars on an organised Motor Tour of close-by Hobart bush land, rural and historic settings. The event started with a scrumptious morning tea at the Lindisfarne Riverside Club rooms of The Motor Yacht Club of Tasmania (MYCT) where each participant was given an information sheet to navigate their way to lunch at Midway Point Tavern. This sheet included directions along the outer bu...sh land areas of Hobart and other locations. Also on this sheet were 18 Questions, the answers to which, could be found along the route.
