We are still working very hard at keeping everyone safe from Covid-19 with extra infection control measures. Some of these measures include: 1) Screening all contacts by phone prior to all appointments to ensure they are healthy and not experiencing symptoms of a cold or been in close contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with covid-19. 2) We are asking all patients visiting to wait in their cars upon arrival. This encourages social distancing with other patients. 3) All patients are asked to wash their hands prior to being admitted into the surgery room. 4) In addition to our usual high standard of infection control measures, we are instituting additional disinfection of all common public areas in the practice. Please contact our practice for an appointment or should you have any concerns please call us for a chat. Stay well and we hope to see you soon.

06.01.2022 Hello one and all! I hope the new year has been a good one. I thought I would share some thoughts about the current situation involving the spread of the new flu virus, corona virus. At ProCare Family Dental we exercise a high level of infection control to mitigate the risk of spreading infectious disease. We would ask any of our patients who have been overseas and experiencing flu or cold like symptoms to seek medical care. Also to defer any unnecessary dental work until sy...mptoms have passed for at least 2 weeks. Some ways we can all look after our families and ourselves is to make sure we practice good hand hygiene. I understand most would want to wear face mask in public as a precaution. This can be done but the most important part of infection prevention is to make sure you sanitise your hands before touching your face, nose or mouth. The route of infection starts when you come in contact with a contaminated surface and transfer that contaminant to your own body. The fastest route of entry to your body for any organism is through your mouth, eyes or nose. Face mask of the appropriate type will reduce exposure to contaminated water droplets or dust being inhaled. However your hands do more to spread disease to yourself and others. So please stay healthy and keep well!
