25.01.2022 YOU’RE DOING REALLY WELL GIVEN THE CIRCUMSTANCES! Life is crazy sometimes, don’t forget to be kind to yourself. When things are cancelled (aka SHINE 2020), it’s an opportunity for creativity and new things. If you’re sick and tired of the everyday routine - shake things up! Get a few mates together and start something. Be a positive influencer in your school for your peers!!

22.01.2022 The LEAD Conference centred around the theme RISE. What does it mean to rise? When we rise we unconsciously give other people permission to rise with us. But, in order to rise strong and confidently, we must build a solid foundation of ethics, values, morals and community. Let your foundation launch you boldly into the person you were meant to be. 21.01.2022 DO YOU NEED A GOOD CHAT? Seeking out the right people to talk to can be difficult. We need a range of people in our lives who can guide us and answer our questions; friends, role models, loved ones, counsellors, teachers... We need them all to live our best life. So if you need a good chat seek out the people in your life that you know are affective listeners and who have your best interest at heart. If you have questions seek out the people who have experience and answers. And remember, you might need to be that person for someone else.

20.01.2022 Usually around this time of the year we are a week out from the SHINE Gathering: the planning committee is frantic, the band is busy rehearsing, a nervous energy is rising in the hearts of first-timers and the veterans are eagerly awaiting the reunion with mates. Although we’re not gathering in person this year, remember you are a part of a community, and this theme from last year still applies to you. Perhaps now more than ever we need hear this message: you are never alone, God knows the parts of you, you hide from others and God loves you. #proclaimyourflame
