We are currently seeking a fully qualified Carpenter with extensive experience and/or has a genuine interest in gaining additional experience, in all aspects of traditional, broad based construction methods of carpentry such as framing houses, roofing, renovations, extensions, decks & pergola's to assist our company in the Maitland, Newcastle & surrounding areas of the Hunter Valley. Fourth year apprentice carpenters may be considered depending on their ability to meet criteria and demonstrate competency in the following areas, however qualified candidates are preferred. Position will be full time, paid at Award or above Award rates depending on level of experience. We are looking for a candidate who: Has a strong work ethic and is of clean habits Has the ability to demonstrate intent to achieve and maintain company standards and produce quality work Has the ability to demonstrate commitment and drive Has the ability to closely follow instruction and take responsibility & show initiative Has the ability to pay strong attention to detail Has experience in all aspects of construction, and demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement Must be entitled to work in Australia Must have own transport Must have a current manual driver’s licence (MR desirable) Must have current White Card Must have own tools in good condition Must have own steel cap boots Must be committed to safe work practices All candidates must be willing to work hard and be willing to learn Must have the ability to problem solve & work in a team Must have the ability to turn their hand to other trades if required All candidates must be willing to work in Central West NSW from time to time for short periods, accommodation and meals provided.
