There is much speculation around what it will contain, how deep the cuts will go and who the winners and losers will be. So what are the possible changes on the table and where are we heading to? (1) Sale of Government assets; (2) Restructure of middle class welfare, access to family benefits is likely to be tightened; (3) Limiting Medicare bulk billing to concession card holders and children; (4) Phasing out maternity leave scheme; (5) Increasing tax on super; (6) Raising the pension age to 70; (7) Increasing the GST to 12%. 19.01.2022 Want to buy a new car before the end of the financial year? Salary sacrificing is one of the smartest ways to finance and purchase your new car. A salary sacrifice is an arrangement where an employee agrees to forego some of their wages that will be due to them in the future, in exchange for something else of similar value. This agreement must be entered into prior to the income being earned. The advantages of Salary Sacrifice are that you are buying the benefit in pre tax dollars. That is, if your tax rate is 32.5%, you get 32.5% better buying power. For more details, please contact us.
