23.01.2022 An amazing year for PGT Townsville Keeper Layne Chapman (14yrs). After having a great debut year in the Premier Women’s League and winning the premiership, Layne has just been award the North Queensland Football Female Goalkeeper of the Year. A well deserved award for all the hard work Layne has put in over the last 2 years with PGT. Congratulations Layne,couldn’t be prouder.

20.01.2022 It’s that time of the year again. The jolly man in the red suit arrives tonight. PGT Townsville would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. With the year we have had I am sure there are some out there that can’t wait for 2020 to be over. On the other hand there are others that have had an amazing year. Either way it will certainly be a year to remember, good or bad. We will be back again early next year to start pre-season training. I will notify times and dates soon. A massive thank you to Ross River JCU FC for their support again this year and we look forward to working with you again in 2021. Hope everyone enjoys this festive season.

18.01.2022 Big shout out to PGT Townsville Keeper Brooklin Robinson. Brooklin’s team were the Grand Final runners up in U13A. It was always going to be an uphill battle against the top team in the competition but Brooklin and his team performed well. Without a couple of great saves from Brooklin the score could have gotten away from them. Great work Brooklin. Never say die attitude and self belief.

16.01.2022 Great to see PGT Keepers playing at their highest level. PGT Townsville Keeper Layne Chapman (right)and PGT Cairns Keeper Ann Barker (left), battling it out in the Prem Womens Crad Evans Final in Townsville this evening. And wow, what a game it was for the spectators. 3-3 half time. 5-4 full time. Not the type of games any of our Keepers hope for, but that’s football. Ann’s Edge Hill Untited team were the victors in the final minute of normal time. A great way for Anne to finish her current Goalkeeping career. Ann will follow a career with the Navy next year and I would like to wish her all the very best for the future. It has been a pleasure to have had an input in Ann’s Goalkeeping journey. All the best Ann and I look forward to catching up again soon in the future.

13.01.2022 Great to be able to catch up with PGT Cairns Keeper Kahn Rebic at the Crad Evans play off in Townsville today. It is great to make friendships with our Keepers through our Academies and our National Goalkeeper Camp on the Gold Coast. Unlucky today to have gone down 1-0 in the dying minutes of the game. Overall well played Kahn. Keep striving for the best.

01.01.2022 REMINDER TO BOOK YOUR SPOT During PGT January Camp 2021 a $1000 bursary will be awarded to go towards any PGT services including The Valencia CF Academy Experience. * Bursary will be awarded to a goalkeeper attending the PGT January 2021 camp who shows potential for future development. Decision to be made by coaches present at camp. $1000 will be available in the form of a credit with PGT, to be spent on any PGT services over the following 24 months, including the Valencia CF Academy Experience.

01.01.2022 Congratulations to PGT Townsville Goalkeeper Bodie Singleton. Bodie has been selected as the U16 1st choice keeper for the Brisbane based NPL club Mitchelton. Bodie didn’t get many opportunities to prove himself as a keeper,here in Townsville, and spent a lot of time as an outfield player but that did not discourage his dreams of being a full time keeper. He has continued to train, learn and develop his skills which has paid off with his recent selection. Well done Bodie and we wish you the very best for the future.
