07.01.2022 If you're working from home due to coronavirus the ATO has introduced a rate of 80c/ hour as an easier way to determine your home office expenses. You can still use other methods to calculate your claim if you prefer; however, whichever method you choose, you’ll need to make sure you have records to support your claim. So make sure you are keeping a record of the hours you have spent working at home.

04.01.2022 With the introduction of Single Touch Payroll (STP) the Australian Tax Office (ATO) has gained an unprecedented level of transparency into super payments. From the start of this year, employers who dont stay on top of paying their workers super may find themselves owing more money to the ATO as a result. Remember that super payments for the Dec-19 quarter are due on 28 January 2020. If you are paying through the ATOs Super Clearing House you will also need to allow between 4-10 days for the payment to be processed. #STP #Super #Superannuation #SingleTouchPayroll
