11.02.2022 As an Older Driver Assessor, I do not condone this behaviour! "From Theo My neighbour was working in his yard when he was startled by a late model car that came crashing through his hedge and ended up in his front lawn.... He rushed to help an elderly lady driver out of the car and sat her down on a lawn chair. He said with excitement, You appear quite elderly to be driving. Well, yes, I am, she replied proudly. I’ll be 97 next month, and I am now old enough that I don’t even need a driver’s license anymore. You don’t need a driver’s license anymore?!? That’s right! The last time I went to my doctor, he examined me and asked if I had a driver’s license. I told him ‘yes’ and handed it to him. He took scissors out of the drawer, cut the license into pieces, and threw them in the waste basket, saying, ‘You won’t need this anymore’. So I thanked him and left!"

02.01.2022 I'm sure you know folk who can deeply relate to this: "A motorcycle patrolman was rushed to the hospital with an inflamed appendix. The doctors operated and advised him that all was well. However, the patrolman kept feeling something pulling at the hairs in his crotch. Worried that it might be a second surgery the doctors hadn't told him about,he finally got enough energy to pull his hospital gown up enough so he could look at what was making him so uncomfortable.... Not wanting to boast but I've held the 'left brain' as having that function since at least 2010 - and until now had never heard of Dunbar's thesis. It's just lovely to be in such good company!|
