23.01.2022 While most of our ceremonies and services will run smoothly without any issues and our clients will be grateful for the role we played, insurance is something Every Celebrant will need to consider. Public Liability Insurance is for where you, as a celebrant, contribute to or cause an accident. For example someone is injured by falling over your PA system or the collapse of your signing table. Your membership fee includes a component for PLI. - a must for all celebrants!!!

19.01.2022 If it is claimed that you have done something wrong in the course of your work as a celebrant, and this results in a financial loss for your client, then they may take legal action against you to recover these losses. This is why we all need Professional Indemnity Insurance. The risk of claims against you isn’t always determined by your skill or level of professionalism. There is always the risk of an unhappy client making a claim against you. Your membership fee includes a component for PII. - a must for all celebrants!!!

Copyright Agency Limited (CAL) is a not for profit rights management organisation which enables the use of text and images in return for fair payment to writers, visual artists and publishers. CAL has the use of the works of its members. Why should a professional celebrant purchase a CAL Celebrant Group Copyright Licence? As professionals with high ethical standards, the ethically right thing to do is to pay for use of a poet or other artists work directly b...y purchasing their material or indirectly by purchasing a CAL licence To not break copyright, without a CAL Celebrant Licence, the celebrant would have to use only material they have written themselves, or material that is so old that copyright has expired. What happens if a celebrant uses a work of an author who is not one of CAL’s members? CAL provides Indemnity against any copying of non member works. This means should any celebrant copy works that do not belong to a rights holder CAL represents and the rights holder takes action against them, CAL will indemnify the celebrant against any damages, up to the amount of the licence fees by the association over the life of the licence . What are the benefits of this licence? a cost-effective way of managing your copyright responsibilities and removing the need to ask for permission each time you want to use copyright materials with convenient access to millions of copyright materials.

07.01.2022 The PCA organises several professional training days each year as well as an annual conference in July. The conference is always well attended and is extremely beneficial to everyone with guest speakers delivering information on a wide and diverse range of current and relevant topics relating to the Wedding and Funeral Industry. The beauty of our training is its "face to face" resulting in engaging discussions by participants.
