23.01.2022 Missed Deadlines....Missed Opportunities. Can't finish your work? Can't start it? Half-finished artworks and chapters? According to Hillary Rettig, the author of The 7 Secrets of the Prolific: The Definitive Guide to Overcoming Procrastination, Perfectionism, and Writer’s Block, people who procrastinate due to perfectionism tend to have a fixed mindset. Yet, I have coaching clients who clearly have a GROWTH mindset. But they still start off by saying: "I am a procrastinator..." " "I am overwhelmed by my workload". "I keep missing my deadlines". If a day ever comes when I don’t feel excited about my clients any longer, I will move on to something else. They deserve an excited coach who can’t wait to speak to them. And I deserve a job that excites me.
