The Tradie Calendars will also be on sale for those of you who don't own one yet. Valentines Day is fast approaching so what better way to surprise your significant other than with some hunky local models in a calendar. There will also be live music at Mr Henderson's. Unfortunately we had to tell them to keep their clothes on this time. 21.01.2022 Jingle all the Bay is fast approaching. On Friday 06/12/19 between 6pm and 9pm, Sandgate will be closing the streets for the huge Christmas Party. There will be rides, food and entertainment so bring all your friends and family down. The tradie calendar will be selling and the tradies themselves will be involved in a few activities. 18.01.2022 A big big thankyou to everyone who was able to come to the "Calendar Launch Night" or supported the event. We were quite nervous at the start with how this initiative would be received and if we would be able to do it justice as it was very personal cause for most of us. It began with a small idea of wanting to spread awareness and has just gotten bigger due the support we have received. The generosity from people not only in Sandgate but the wider community has been amazi...ng and has been such a positive experience. We honestly can't thank everyone enough. From Mr Henderson's for putting on the venue, to Jason's Quality Meats who donated the sausages, to donations from so many local businesses and people, to everyone who was at the night buying handfuls of calendars and buying raffle tickets, to the trades who showed some skin, there are so many people who have supported this event. The reason we wanted to do this is because Prostate Cancer affects so many lives, everyone involved in the calendar has been affected in some way and so we really wanted to spread the message that one test can save a life. If you have a brother, father, son, friend who is over 50 or has a history of cancer in their family, tell them to take a test. It is not a sign of weakness, something to be scared of or to be ignored as one test could possibly save a life.

17.01.2022 June is National Men's Health month with the 10th - 16th of June being Men's Health Week. Prostate Cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men in Australia with almost 20,000 diagnoses and close to 3,500 deaths each year. Often men do not take the time to focus on their health and it is not always something that is talked about with other men. A simple conversation with your friends or loved ones might be the push that prompts your husband, father, brother or son to g...et checked. Our staff are very passionate about spreading awareness, and Men's health month is a cause we support wholeheartedly. Sadly, the founder of Professionals Sandgate, Stuart Patrick, was lost to Prostate Cancer. Stuart had an amazing love of life and whilst his jovial nature and cheeky smile was evident throughout his battle, watching his pain and suffering also took a heavy toll on his family. We do not want any family to have to go through this and if having a simple test could save a life, isnt that a conversation worth having. Over the course of the month we will be supporting Men's Health and will be including information on our page to spread awareness. If you are in the area we have statistics in one our windows as well. Additionally, we will hopefully be announcing a major fundraising initiative later in the month that we are very excited about and encouraging everyone to support. This has been an ongoing project for months and to see it come together is extremely exciting. All the models are local tradies and contractors who have been very brave to strip off and get behind this cause. Prostate Cancer has affected a number of families both within our office and the tradies as we...ll, so this is a cause close to our hearts. We couldn't be doing this without the support of some wonderful individuals and companies who we will be featuring on our page as we get closer to the calendar launch. Calendars will go on sale on the 26th of September and we will be sharing more as we get closer. There will be a limited supply of 1000 calendars and we will explain how you can purchase these soon.
