25.01.2022 What Covid-19 tells us about collective responsibility and managing risk in a changing world.

24.01.2022 Just spoke to Andrew West of the @ABCReligion Report; about how Aggressive secularism exacerbates religious tensions in Franceabc.net.au/radionational/; @gregjamesbarton; @Deakin_ADI; @deakinmedia

24.01.2022 RIP David Graeber, an import critic of structural inequalities and bureaucratic managerialism; his book ‘Bullshit Jobs: A Theory’ is worth a read in our higher ed context:

23.01.2022 Just published this opinion piece on The #socio-cultural implications of #COVID-19 with #UNESCO; @Deakin_ADI; @deakinmedia; COVID-19 is already showing us a variety of patterns of racism aimed at Asian people ranging from cyber bullying to physical attacks, racist trolling, and a variety of xenophobic conspiracy theories that have been articulated not only by ordinary citizens but also some politicians and world leaders. None of this serves the intercultural dialogue agenda, with its emphasis on cross-cultural contact, mutual understanding, respectful engagement and inter-communal solidarity.

22.01.2022 According to Professor Fethi Mansouri, UNESCO Chairholder, #intercultural #dialogue is in itself an essential tool that we will need in the post-#covid_19 envir...onment. The Anna Lindh Foundation Network in Sweden - Anna Lindh Stiftelsen i Sverige presents an interactive #online #training for #civil #society #activists from the Euro-Med region. Everything you need to know about this training is here http://www.varldskulturmuseerna.se//intercultural-compete/ #crossingborders #dialogue #intercultural #online #training #zoom #post #covid_19 #learning #coexist

19.01.2022 As the holy month of #Ramadan comes to end, wishing a Eid Mubarak to all family, friends, students and colleagues everywhere. #eidmubarak2020

17.01.2022 Pretty unequivocal in rejecting Trump’s claims: The November 3rd election was the most secure in American history.... There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised... While we know there are many unfounded claims and opportunities for misinformation about the process of our elections, we can assure you we have the utmost confidence in the security and integrity of our elections, and you should too.

17.01.2022 Covid-19 vs. Intercultural Dialogue: What Impact?, by Prof Fethi Mansouri

16.01.2022 Very much enjoyed this interview/conversation with @GeorgeDonikian and @DrZuleyhaKeskin on the impact and implications of #COVID19.... thanks @AusIntSociety and @AhmetKeskin_ED for arranging; @Deakin_ADI

14.01.2022 For those who missed it, here is the link to the recorded event on #racism and #dialogue: https://youtu.be/6dfuvBi2Wvg Do Interfaith and Intercultural Dialogue initiatives effectively stand against Racism? Join our online conversation on Racism and Dialogue... Interfaith and Intercultural Dialogue Initiatives are organised to promote tolerance and diversity. They celebrate difference and look for commonalities in humanity. These initiatives are to be celebrated and promoted, but it is also important to ask, do these initiatives and events explore real problems and issues such as Racism?
