25.01.2022 The Australian Veterans team will embark on a trip to New Zealand from 7th -15th March 2020 to take on our New Zealand counterparts in a 3-Test Trans Tasman Ser...ies and a one off invitational relay against a North Island Team. Unfortunately due to financial pressure on our sponsors and uncertainties surrounding event restrictions, the difficult decision was made to cancel the Chidlow Log Chop and Chidlow BBQ Competition for 2020. ... Providing things continue to improve with the COVID 19 Pandemic we hope to be back with a bigger and better event for 2021! We would like to say a massive thank you to all our supporters. 03.01.2022 Australian Champion of Champions 2019-20 What concluded to be a very interrupted 2019-20 woodchop circuit in Australia, due to floods, fires then COVID19, it is... with pleasure we announce the winner of the Champion of Champions Award is Laurence Otoole (Jnr). The always consistent athlete who travels both nationally and globally for the sport of woodchopping, ending the season with 3 Australian titles plus numerous placings. Laurence is also captain of the very successful Australian Men's woodchopping who defended the Trans Tasman Relay against New Zealand at EKKA 2019. He also is a member of the very successful reigning Stihl Timbersports Team Champions, the Australian "Chopperoos". A presentation will be made to Laurence at an appropriate time and place. Runner-up in the award was reigning award winner Mitchell Argent. Congratulations to Laurence on his outstanding season and we look forward to seeing him and all of our athletes back to competition in the not too distant future.

03.01.2022 Please be advised that the Spit in the Hills BBQ Festival has been CANCELLED for 2020. Thanks to the Chidlow Tavern we have been able to move the Chidlow Log Chop to coincide with the Chidlow BBQ Competition in September. More details on that to follow.
