13.01.2022 COVID19 has exposed the inadequacy of how we care for some of our elders and the lack of resources in aged care facilities to deal with such an outbreak. Over 900 active cases in aged care homes in Vic, and only 5 are from public homes, the rest are from private facilities. The Royal Commission into Aged Care needs to include why there has been such a level of unpreparedness in some aged care homes.
