15.01.2022 Project Booyah Cairns runs a program called RESPECT which aligns in educating our young girls about CBT and general life skills. We attended Woolworths on this day and the girls went shopping to prepare a 3 course meal to serve each other in teams. The girls had a budget and had to meal prep with a menu before attending the shops. The girls were taught their table etiquette on the day which was a big eye opener but they had a lot of fun!

08.01.2022 What a great day at Goomboora Park! Took our girls out to catch-up and relax due to the long awaited cohort outings! All with social distancing of course. We are currently with two groups at a time and had a sausage sizzle! Our girls enjoyed the catch-up

07.01.2022 In March our girls attended the Cairns Fire Station where they learnt about Workplace Health and Safety operations. The girls are currently studying their Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways.

03.01.2022 We talk about self esteem and identity in one of our sessions. We get our girls to draw a picture on canvas around their identity and young Bessie painted the most amazing picture With the story about her family which we hang proudly on our walls in our Hub! Bessie has come a long way and has a natural talent with art.
