12.01.2022 So tragic... PROJECT HOPE sends condolences to the family. Brian will be remembered by those who knew him at Makindu Hope Academy where he worked hard in the early days of the school.

11.01.2022 Hopefully you all received Carla's New Year letter/email with her news of her last visit. Guttering and water tanks were the main projects that were happening when Carla and Linda were at the school. School has started again now with about 68 students. We are waiting for class lists so we can see how many children need a sponsor. Most of them should have one as we haven't taken on any children in the lower grades. Patti (our Head Teacher) reports that the nearest Corona virus is in Nairobi. We all hope that our school stays safe from this...And that all our sponsors and supporters also stay well. ### News just to hand - all schools will be closing this week!!!!

Most of our kids from school have gone home for the holidays but we still have a group who are permanent residents so our good wishes go to them and to Patti and her family. 04.01.2022 Latest news from Patti - Year 8 and Year 4 are going back this week....others to be announced. Desks will be 'socially distanced'. We are really grateful to those sponsors who have been able to continue their payments. THANK YOU. We still have our permanent boarders who have nowhere else to go and of course need to be fed and looked after! SOOO thankful for Patti and her family. And some extra funds has given us a much needed chance to do some more much needed repairs. Onesmus has finished repairing the broken desks. Pipes are needed for stove repairs in the kitchen. And we can buy some paint to paint the kitchen.
