25.01.2022 This customer turned their subfloor into a useful area by removing some brick piers and the new slab. I always suggest talking to us before you finalise your layout because the new work can undermine the existing footings and small differences in architectural plan can result in huge cost impacts.

21.01.2022 There is often more than meets the eye with a retaining wall. This wall is a back boundary of a house block at the Redbank Development. At 2m high it is also loaded by the neighbours wall above. We worked with the owner to come up with the best balance of cost and outcome whilst making sure it is properly engineered.

19.01.2022 Some machinery sheds we design on the lowlands - they had to resist flood loads and high winds.

17.01.2022 You don’t get to work on a building like this every day! We are assisting the builder to reuse as much of the existing altered timber work as possible at Chapter House near Townhall.

16.01.2022 They don't make them like this anymore. Some Hawkesbury building history.

16.01.2022 This is a giant steel TV screen support for a Hoyts theatre. The thing is hanging out in space, weighs several tonnes and is a serious piece of kit.

13.01.2022 We designed the stairs at a hard-core industrial site at Botany

13.01.2022 To help comply with the bushfire code in a flame zone, the customer didn’t want the alfresco roof to attach to the house. So it’s supported on two posts only!

13.01.2022 This pergola was a challenging 3-D engineering design; it’s a truss without any diagonals (known in the trade as an Vierendeel). Not quite sure about it architecturally though

11.01.2022 What an awesome playground! The design of these nets was one of the most technically challenging analyses we have ever done.

09.01.2022 This is a rescue job-another engineer’s design made no sense to the builder or to me so we came up with a solution on the fly

09.01.2022 Job Done! It's really satisfying when a job is completed and looks great! This new house is at Springwood for Paul Harris Builders. We designed the slabs, footings, steelwork and a Dincel retaining wall - which needed to be waterpoof because it was the external wall of the lower floor of the house.

06.01.2022 Hawkesbury residents stay safe in the fires. A tip - today is the day to take photos of your house, sheds, and all your contents. Our engineering work has taken us to hundreds of fire-damaged buildings - and when it's all gone it's just not possible to remember what you had.

04.01.2022 It’s definitely retaining wall season! Another at Redbank.

02.01.2022 This net looks great but again the engineering of this kind of structure is very challenging.

01.01.2022 We designed this job at Maroota yonks ago - it’s been one of those classic owner-builder-takes-years jobs. Almost there now and looking good.
