25.01.2022 3 days till departure! The last few days have been quite hectic with the team making final preparations for the trip. What have we been doing? ... A lot of things! But mainly preparing and trial running the VGD project. We’d like to thank everyone who donated Whether you contributed to our crowdfunding campaign or donated books, we’d like to thank you so much for helping us reach our targets. Thank you for being a part of our global outreach and our mission to impact students both here and overseas. It wouldn’t have been easy without your support!... We’d also like to thank Jared Fullinfaw and The Print Bar Australia for continuously supporting us since the beginning of 2017. Their shirts are amazing and we thank them for sponsoring us the amazing shirts you see below What’s left now is for us to actually go and set up the sustainability project, teach Cambodian students and leave a lasting impact. 13.01.2022 There’s a certain feeling that can’t be recreated. Hearing the final pens down for the year and trying to contain the overwhelming realisation - that’s it. The year is nearing an end, HSC wrapped up and university exams underway or completed for many students. A massive congratulations to all that have worked hard and completed their goals for the year, students or otherwise. For those still with a few more days to go, hang in there, your efforts will be rewarded!... However, the team here at Project-Unwritten are only just beginning our second major event of the year Global Unwritten 2018. With just 11 days until departure, we would like to take this opportunity to thank those that have contributed to our crowdfunding campaign. The funds we receive will directly translate into raw materials essential for the construction of our Vertical Growing Drums that will have a profound impact on the wellbeing of Cambodian students we visit. At the time of publishing this post, we have nearly reached 50% of our target - enough food to feed a whole class for a week from a single harvest. Continued support is greatly appreciated no matter the amount. 08.01.2022 Construction is now underway 1 Tonne of soil + compost 10 PVC barrels + many more raw materials ... Once again, thank you to all donators and supporters for making it possible for us to build and donate 10 Vertical Growing Drum units. It’ll have a profound impact on the health and diet of 250~ rural Cambodian students and teachers. We want to show you the progress of the sustainability project as we construct it over the next few days. The video below was taken before we began.
