25.01.2022 Colour Blast Sydney put on another colour blast this morning at McMahons point and I was so glad I got there in time for once to witness it unfold as Mornings truly are the best time to get up and out for a shoot. 22.01.2022 Well 2020 was definitely a dramatic year, full of unexpected events that bought many of us to our knees. But...we got through and in some sadistic way, I feel grateful for the recheck on what we often take for granted, such as our work, friendships and most importantly...the freedoms we would normally have, to do what we want, where and when we want. So here’s to a brighter future for all in 2021.

21.01.2022 Upside down Yay it’s Friya... and boy what a week it’s been. I have honestly been so busy everyday I fall asleep at 9pm, physically and mentally exhausted. Anyway I wanted to go out and snap tonight’s sunset but alas I was too tired again. So this one was taken during last Friday’s magical sunset, although I am presenting it with a slight twist, as I feel like we all present the same old ...same old stuff on here sometimes. ... So here’s something different to end off the week. This shot being a cutout of the sky from one my zillion landscape images taken last week of that magnificent sunset. I find myself mesmerised by the wafts of colour that look like they have been painted in the sky by an artist instead of the setting sun. I mean... I could truly get lost in this world of colour, as to me colour represents fun and happiness. Something we all need a little bit more of this year me thinks. #tgif

20.01.2022 A different side of Sydney What I have noticed about myself in these past few years, since I have taken up landscape photography is that I am constantly searching for a different way to present photographs of the same old places. This being of Barangaroo, with the nearly completed crown towers taken Friday night during that sensational sunset. 16.01.2022 Sunset Paintings I watched tonights sunset from my home office with my mouth agape. I couldn't believe I was not down at my usual haunt of Kirribilli, but I had a more important event to attend, which was the @infocuswomen virtual insta meet. Although we were meant to meet at Kirribilli, the wise organisers @sarinajackson @steph_vella decided on this occasion, it was in everyone’s best interest if we all met Via Zoom. So although it’s a shame we didn't get to go to our i...ntended meetup destination, I am pleased that I got to virtually meet some of the fabulous other female photographers in this group tonight and I look forward to heading out to shoot with you all hopefully one day soon. 15.01.2022 Sundown Lockdown As some of you know, I am originally from Melbourne and the majority of my family still live there. This 2nd lockdown has really hit some of them hard, particularly those in the metro area and whilst I do appreciate what the government are trying to do with curbing the spread of the virus, the economic destruction this 2nd shutdown will cause, has been the topic of many worldwide news journalists conversations today, with comparisons made to states in th...e US, who are experiencing 10k+ new cases a day, vs our 190 odd...making these measures taken by our VIC state government seem a bit excessive given our low numbers! So it does beg the question, is this really the right answer? I mean no manner of financial relief being offered by the government can replace the real cost this 2nd lockdown will have on my people. It certainly won't replace jobs lost, the small businesses decimation and the emotional toll this has already/will now take on them. Therefore, I dedicate this post to my fellow Melbournians. Let's hope you can all get through this with the same hope and dreams we all have, that one day soon, you can all live again like you did before... free and happy, with the sun in your eyes and the sand under your feet. My heart and soul are with you all.

15.01.2022 Sunlit I couldn't be happier with my time here in Byron, capturing the surfers from both the air and land. It gave me a sense of purpose again, to get out and create something different like this, as I have to admit... I felt a little stuck there in Sydney, offering nothing very different in imagery from what everyone else is. 11.01.2022 Commitment One of the lessons I learnt from watching the surfers up the coast, was the level of commitment they have to getting out to have a surf, rain hail or shine. As a mother and provider for my children, I feel that same level of commitment, regardless of how tough times can get. You just have to push through and keep on working towards your end goal... which for me is to see my children (one left to go) through their high school years and then I am free to be the explorer I would one day like to be. #beachlife #sunset #ocean #drone

07.01.2022 Find your passion Photographing landscapes is most definitely my passion, and every time I do go out, I feel sufficiently satisfied...sometimes for weeks on end even. I mean the shear fact that I actually make the effort to get up and out of bed in the dark, just to catch one colourful sunrise every few weeks... especially in the middle of winter... is a surprise even to me... Before I started shooting landscapes, you wouldn't get me out of bed before sunrise unless it was to get to a yoga class or catch a plane. Even more surprising is the fact that I hate the cold, yet I am more than willing to brave the chilly morning air in winter and will even at times, let my my sneakers and socks get all wet stepping through rocky headlands, just so I can get into the right position for that perfect shot. That I guess is why people say, you need to find your passion in life, then everything else will follow. For me, it makes me feel alive and excited when I am out amongst nature and because I know I will experience this euphoria, each and every time... then that only incentives me more to get out and about, even on a cold winters morning. 03.01.2022 Good Vibes I have been in Byron Bay for less than a week and already I feel relaxed and happy. I mean, it is one of my favourite places on the planet, always has been really. 02.01.2022 Time to cool down I have missed a large part of Sydneys heatwave this weekend, thanks to my impromptu trip to Melbourne. Although it’s been dreary weather here today, it has been a bit of blessing in disguise compared to having to deal with the heatwave. I mean I like the heat...but not that much, especially yesterdays heat which was super dry and super hot. I can’t imagine what today would have felt like with the high winds.
