Canada's Public Sector Investment Board has bought out Webster's Limited $854 million agribusiness, following NSW Supreme Court and shareholder approval this week. The Australian Government's secretive Foreign Investment Review Board quietly approved the sale just before Christmas. No information was published on their website. There's not much about this in the media either, so if you're concerned about the secrecy surrounding foreign sales of our farmland and water, spread the word. 01.01.2022 MP TRIES TO BLOCK MOTION FOR WATER REGISTER AND ROYAL COMMISSION The Member for Murray's attempt to introduce a petition motion for a water royal commissi...on and national water register could be in jeopardy. Shooters, Fishers and Farmers MP Helen Dalton was to present the petition with 11,000 signatures to the New South Wales Parliament at 4pm today. But an unidentified Nationals MP has formally objected to the Speaker of the House to try and stop the debate on the grounds of conflict of interest. The House has told Ms Dalton the MP wants to remain anonymous. Ms Dalton says its an attempt to protect politicians from not having to declare their water interests. The Speaker is currently deciding on the status of the debate.
