18.01.2022 So after wanting to do it for a while, I decided I better take the amazing Honda Rune for a quick ride this morning! For those of you not sure what a Rune is, released for one year only: 2004, its 0 of 12 officially released in Australia by Honda (excluding a couple imported as personal imports from the US) Only 3000 of these were released world wide! Powered by an 1832cc, 6 cylinder engine, claiming 116hp. The engine's derived from the Goldwing but heavily tweaked, featuring... a massive 6.9 litre airbox, which feeds to large 32mm fuel injection throttle bodies! More aggressive camshaft with revised ignition and fuel injection mapping! All running through a close ratio gearbox! The end result is a very fun power plant that will definitely surprise a lot of people as it did myself! Well behaved when simply touring, twist the throttle and ask for more and it becomes angry! (In a good way!) Sitting on the bike in the showroom and the bars feel wrong, too long and front end feels heavy, but once on the road, even at very low speed, it all feels spot on and works incredibly well! Its stance on the road is impressive and attracts a lot of attention from on lookers! Whether its the wild front end or custom style tail featuring genuine panniers supplied to Honda by Corbin, this bike looks phenomenal! So if you're looking for something that's amazing to ride, has an incredible presence and attracts looks where ever you go, while maintaining Honda's reputation of incredible reliability, this could be the bike for you! **KEEPING IN MIND THERE ARE ONLY 12 IN AUSTRALIA!
