22.01.2022 The effort to Buy from the Bush is probably more important than ever in a Post Bushfire and Covid context. With some more time on my hands, I trawled through the Buy from the Bush website to find local Victorian-based businesses to support. Personally I'd go for the Australian Bush Classic candle at home. In terms of our role as a property stylist we have to be careful as adding too much scent (hello glade plugins) can overwhelm the senses of your potential buyers and leave some coughing, sneezing and wheezing their way through your open for inspection. So we'd go for a very neutral and light scent and focus on the aesthetic properties of the packaging. Candles can work really well in our styling vignettes in rooms ranging from bathrooms, to bedrooms, living rooms and hallways or entrances. 06.01.2022 I've had a little more time to wander about online over the past few months so I thought I'd share with you some of my amazing #MelbourneMade finds. I'm also a fabric tragic so when a friend introduced me to EarthColour I thought I'd landed in heaven! EarthColour would be my go-to place for beautiful homewares gifts at the moment. A mix of barks, flowers, nuts, and discarded wood shavings are used to create natural and vibrant dyes.... My choice for use in our property styling would be the stunning Landscape Runner made with Eucalyptus bark and Cutch bark extract. Dyed in two dye baths to create an ombre effect.
