25.01.2022 Struggling or not, there are few who don’t mask their inner most feelings. Human connection is a wondrous thing. True human connection.
23.01.2022 Shared from a dear fellow empath’s page.
23.01.2022 How many of us have lost a project because the computer unexpectedly froze on us? We stressed, threw out a few choice expletives, but eventually we knew we had to hit the cntrl-alt-del buttons to finish what we lost. This process, however frustrating, is how I personally reflect on 2020. A shock to our believing we can plan our future. Of course we can, but making plans by writing them with a pen is prone to a shock; as we must inevitably start again. This said, my heart... goes out to those who’ve had true loss, be it loss of loved ones or apparent loss of their dreams. No words can bring comfort during your processing what had happened. So to all of you out there who have struggled, please never forget that you have family and friends who are still by your side. We won’t presume we can protect by standing in front, or assume to support by standing behind; but we will offer to stand next to you to cheer you as/when you eventually take those steps forward. Who knows what 2021 will bring; but one certainly is that love from your loved ones is unabated. So when we cheer Happy New Year!, please remember that one word; New. If 2020 achieved anything, it’s challenges has made us all stronger.
18.01.2022 For those who need to process their feelings.
15.01.2022 PROP’s objective is to re empower people away from the social stigma, not to be a qualified therapist, but enough to feel empowered enough to engage empathetically so they can express their care to those who feel unseen.
11.01.2022 Another valuable lesson from the empaths on four legs.
01.01.2022 It’s in our DNA to want to help others, say like donating blood. The Australian Red Cross recently sent me a message stating that there is a desperate need for blood following the holidays. So after about an hour of my time (registering and actually giving blood), I too felt I did my part to help those in need and gladly donated blood at my local Red Cross. Which gives us an idea. At this time of the year, many see their mental health struggles increase. But unlike dona...ting blood, too many of us feel too disempowered to be of any help, or worse, fear saying/doing something wrong and/or triggering. Such reservations, however, are often founded on outdated stigmatic beliefs. Time for us to reclaim our empathy for others and unlearn this stigma around mental health. In just forty minutes, you too can unlearn much of the stigma around mental health by registering and reading our four part tutorial. Each tutorial only takes ten minutes, or forty in total for the four. Just as donating blood helps save lives, empowering ourselves to engage with loved ones is equally needed around this time of the year, post holidays. Please enrol in this tutorial by logging into www.prop.org.au. If you’ve enrolled already, please help us by spreading the tutorial to others whom you feel would appreciate this exercise.
