We were thril...led that we were able to contribute to their winning journey of becoming National Champions! These bright students from Brighton Secondary School were the 2018 National Champions for the "Subs in Schools competition and managed to win multiple awards for their performance and designs along the way. We look forward to seeing their future achievements. About Subs in Schools Subs in Schools allows students to explore the complex challenges of maritime engineering and hydrodynamics using coding and electronics as they design and build operational submarines and ROVs. (Remotely Operated underwater Vehicle). The fundamental principles of the Subs in Schools programme are equipping young people to take part in the new set of industries being developed as a part of the Department of Defence’s Future Submarines Program.

14.01.2022 Today Nick tested the submarine for buoyancy and force required to submerge the submarine using a simple testing setup and some maths to do the trick!

07.01.2022 Yesterday, Nick and Sami traveled to ASC Pty Ltd, thanking ASC for their appreciated support in our team for the 2018 Subs in Schools Competition and the amazing mentoring provided with our submarine build. A very exclusive tour of HMAS Waller was also provided by the amazing team at ASC and was an unreal experience to be able to not only get up close and personal but be able to go within. Also visiting ASC was 'Odyssey, the newest Subs in Schools team for Brighton Secondary... School competing at the state finals later this year. Thanks ASC very much and hope to continue our relationship for many seasons to come.
