24.01.2022 We had a great night at this years ASOFIA Christmas party. The changing colours from our podium display lit up the room as colleagues from our industry got together for some Christmas cheer.
23.01.2022 One of the projects we are currently working on is the $55M St George’s Hospital Aged care facility. The heat is on to complete this 90 bed facility ahead of schedule in case it needs to be used as a temporary COVID-19 hospital. We are responsible for all the Solid Surface works in the project including 6 Marblo community Kitchens, 3 Staff kitchens, 3 tea point stations, the main reception counter and 90 custom shower niches.

21.01.2022 The foyer at 180 Lonsdale Street Melbourne has been revamped with beautiful Corian Glacier White as a backdrop. Architects Gray Puksand have integrated Solid Surface into the refurbishment doing a wonderful job of using Solid Surface as the canvas to display the artistic shadowing effect from the metal sculpture centrepiece. By cladding over the top of the existing lift core during the night, our Pro Solid install team had the new Corian facade up with minimal disruption to the daily running of the building.

The tops have coved splashb...acks, drop ends and under-mount sink cutouts. Being Seamless and Non Porous the new Pro Solid tops in Corian Glacier White will stand up to the high demands required by the hard-working students. 16.01.2022 Good to see the first lot of tops for the national Samsung roll out are ready for pick up. This project almost went to China however when it comes to quality Australia wins over the imports. We used 12mm Corian Lava Rock finished to Solid Surface Standard SSS80B (www.solidsurfacestandards.com)
16.01.2022 Approximately five years ago Pro Solid fabricated the Marblo bench tops with coved splash backs for Melbourne Oral And Facial Surgery. Solid Surface is the ideal product in this environment because as it is seamless and non porous it is extremely hygienic. The staff at MOFS are very happy with the cleanliness of their Pro Solid bench tops. Therefore five years down the track we have been asked to install an additional bench top for one of the surgery rooms. The top is finished to SSS80B. 15.01.2022 Solid Surface is a terrific material for signage. Take this Amcal shopfront we did as an example, the bold A and + signs in Corian Glacier White look great and they will stand up to the high traffic shopping centre position. Accidental bumps from passing shopping trolleys are no problem, and if someone was to deliberately damage it then our on-site repair service could have it looking good as new.

08.01.2022 Very hectic final stages of the Cbus Sydney project today. Tradesman scrambling to finish off the project under a very tight time frame. With so much going on in such a rush its lucky nothing got damaged. However if someone had of damaged any of our work it wouldnt be too bad. Solid Surface is easily repaired.

07.01.2022 Well its almost half way through the year and it feels like we are just getting over the Christmas rush. The last 6 months have been very exciting with setting up our new factory and offices, commissioning new equipment and then theres all the fantastic projects we have been involved in: Box Hill Hospital, Geelong Hospital, 180 Lonsdale Street Melbourne, Village Crown and ASIC to name just a few.... We are really looking forward to the next 6 months.

06.01.2022 ProSolid had the honour of being one of the major sponsors of this years ASOFIA Christmas party. As part of the sponsorship we built two display podiums out of a sheet of Hi-Macs Opal (kindly donated by Gunnersen) The podiums featured battery operated LED lighting (supplied by 12 Volt On The Move). With the multi-function remote controller the units can run a variety of programs fading or flicking between colours for over 24 hours between charging. The ProSolid logo is subtly visible when the units are lit up. However if desired we could make the logo more prominent.
06.01.2022 The Ballarat Sports & Events Centre is almost complete. The custom blue coloured Marblo counter with integrated bulkhead looks stunning behind the two irregular shaped Cash Points fabricated from Corian Deep Anthracite.
05.01.2022 This is an interesting little project, 165 shaving cabinets for the Carlton Wellbeing Precinct. They are clad in Corian Salt, once installed with the mirrored door it will give a nice effect of a Corian framed mirror with open Corian shelving at the bottom. Congratulations to Jackson Architecture International for thinking outside the square by using solid surface in this application.
05.01.2022 ProSolid recently completed the #putyourheartsout community initiative to raise funds for the Salvation Army Victoria. We designed and manufactured over fifty units free of charge to our local community - asking only for a donation to the Salvos in return. The hearts stand 1.2 meters tall and have been displayed all through the wider community. We would not have been able to produce and distribute them without the support of our project partners.... - Manny at Staron Solid Surfaces Australia kindly provided the material free of charge - Harley-May at Settle Gretel who kindly became a collection point for the community - Narelle and Jodie from The Salvation Army - Victoria for not only getting on board with out project but getting on the tools to give us a hand Thank you to everyone who participated, lit up the neighbourhood and spread the love. 04.01.2022 This vanity top in Corian Glacier White has just been completed and is ready for pick up and install. Although there is a large variety of standard integrated sinks available, this client wanted a particular shape and sized sink. No problem, we just fabricated this custom made sink to her requirements. This is another example of the design flexibility you get with Solid Surface.
