15.01.2022 PROSPECT RESIDENTIAL CARE At Prospect Residential Care, we seek to provide a safe environment for our Residents and Staff especially in times such as these. We believe it is our role, responsibility and duty of care to do our best to ensure we can provide a continued service, while doing everything we can to keep our residents and Staff safe. We wanted to share some of the things we are doing to ensure everyone who comes into contact with us is safe, as well as do our part to... prevent the spread of COVID-19. First and foremost, we are following the advice of the Australian Government, World Health Organisation and the NDIS and with their recommendations for minimizing the spread of this virus. We are going to be taking the following precautionary measures including: Only attending the face to face meetings if absolutely necessary. Staff and Residents will be provided sanitiser and asked to wash their hands regularly If returning from overseas, we will stay away and self-isolate for 14 days If we have any flu like symptoms, we will isolate ourselves and call a doctor for testing to be undertaken. Over the coming weeks we will continue to monitor the situation closely and act quickly on the advice of health authorities. If the State enforces a lockdown, we will adhere to the guidelines and directives, remaining committed to provide continuity of support to our Residents. We ask you to follow preventative measures to reduce the risk of spreading the Coronavirus, which includes letting us know if you have flu like symptoms, test positive or an outbreak has occurred, so that we can take extra precautionary measures. We appreciate your patience and support during this time. If you are feeling unwell please take care of yourself and those around you. Residents, particularly the elderly, are often vulnerable to viruses due to co-morbidities and/or advanced age, and the environment of communal living facilitates the spread of respiratory agents. Additionally, some people with disability are more likely to be vulnerable to the severe adverse effects associated with COVID-19. We have made provision for the care of our vulnerable people and a Skeleton Staff so that there is as little disruption as possible to the continued care and support to our Residents and Staff. If you have any questions or would like to know more about the steps we are taking to protect our Residents and Staff, you can contact the Facility Manager, Bernard.
