22.01.2022 PROSPECT PARK GRASS GROWING WELL IN IDEAL CONDITIONS The redevelopment of the football ground is progressing well with the new grass starting to find its way through over the last month.

21.01.2022 PROSPECT PARK PROJECT UPDATE The contruction work at Prospect Park is on track for completion mid-November. The ground works on the AFL field are starting to get back on track after the early rain delays. Keep watching as it progresses. Well done to Launceston Touch and members for cooperating with these major work tasks underway.

21.01.2022 GROUND & FACILITY WORKS PROGRESSING The long awaited kitchen and canteen upgrade and medical room improvements are underway and on schedule for completion in November. The redevelopment of the main oval including ground profile, drainage and irrigation has commenced, but has been delayed due to the wet spring. It is still hoped that the team from Tas Turf can crack the ground surface in the next week.

19.01.2022 UPDATE ON PROSPECT PARK GROUND WORKS The team from Tas Turf have made a solid start this week on the ground works. All turf is gone and aeration and turning of the soil is progressing.



14.01.2022 SOLAR POWER AT PROSPECT PARK SPORTS CLUB President Michael Walker was recently advised that a $15,000 grant for solar power would be forthcoming if the Coalition Government is re-elected on 2 July.

14.01.2022 QUALITY OF PROSPECT VALE PARK PLAYING FIELDS The Football and Soccer Clubs are struggling to stay on the grounds this winter as we experience a very wet season in 2016. The need for a concerted effort by all levels of Government to improve drainage of the playing fields to cater for all sports users has never been more pressing.... Recently the Labor Party pledged to support this if elected on 2 July. As well the Meander Valley Council has only this weekend advertised for tenders for drainage, irrigation ad resurfacing work to be undertaken also.

10.01.2022 NEW AFL OVAL READY FOR FOOTBALL TRAINING THIS WEEK. The new ground surface at Prospect Park is ready for first training sessions this week New AFL standard goal posts have also been installed.... Some announcements by Local and State Government reps and sports clubs will be made this week also on further upgrades, including soccer field upgrades and upgraded lights and solar power. Plenty happening to assist the 2500 annual users of Prospect Park.

10.01.2022 PROSPECT HAWKS HOME GROUND TO BE UPGRADED The long awaited drainage, reprofiling, lengthening and resurfacing of the football ground will begin in September this year. More good news to be announced soon. GO HAWKS!

06.01.2022 EARTH STARTING TO MOVE In beautiful spring sunshine yesterday Tas Turf were able to remove the old turf and start to aerate the soil on the football field at Prospect Vale Park. The middle section of the field is still quite damp but work is finally underway.



04.01.2022 PROSPECT PARK IRRIGATION SYSTEM IN PLACE The ground redevelopment work at Prospect Park focussed on the installation of the irrigation system in the last week. Workers are now applying the secondary sand based drainage before further rain on the weekend. Keep watching as it progresses. The new kitchen/canteen and medical room are getting some final touches also.
