25.01.2022 Planning Minister Richard Wynne has approved new planning rules that exempt essential businesses from existing noise restrictions during the current state of emergency and 3 months after. This will give some of our local businesses the much needed flexibility they require to keep up with demand during this difficult time. https://www.premier.vic.gov.au/boosting-the-flow-of-essent/

24.01.2022 Did you know that the exemptions to remove vegetation from your property have been recently changed by the State Government? You may now require planning approval to remove vegetation if you are not in a bushfire prone area or within a Bushfire Management Overlay. Call us on 1300 342 937 to discuss.

14.01.2022 Whether or not you can apply to subdivide your land is determined by the planning controls that affect your property. If you are considering subdividing or developing there are a variety of options available to you and now is good time to potentially identify the value in your property. Our team can assist with navigating the complex process for development by: assessing your site to consider its suitability for subdivision and development; consider the development option best suited to your needs, timeline and budget. For more information on our services please contact Jackie Prossor on 0409 100 433 or [email protected]

12.01.2022 It’s music to our ears that Moreland City Council are proposing an amendment to establish a more straight forward planning assessment process for two dwelling proposals! Amendment C190 would allow applications in the NRZ & GRZ for two dwellings (planning scheme compliant) to be processed using the VicSmart application stream. The key features of the VicSmart approach is a 10-day planning permit process and applications are exempt from notice and objector appeals to Victorian ...Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT). Why? Because Moreland recognise that they receive more than twice the metropolitan average number of medium density planning permit applications and see this an opportunity to encourage development within suitable areas. Through the changes they aim to achieve better housing outcomes for the Moreland community and improved customer service for land owners and developers. Is this one step towards privatization of the planning system? For more info go to https://www.moreland.vic.gov.au//amendment-C190-betterout/ #planning #morelandcitycouncil #vicsmart See more

10.01.2022 The Mornington Peninsula Shire are asking local businesses to complete the following survey so they can better understand the impacts caused by the COVID-19 crisis and how they can assist with recovery. 09.01.2022 Beautiful to see one of the home extensions we gained approval for coming to life with Seaspray Homes. Great job as always!

07.01.2022 If your property is identified as being in a Flood Prone area you need to apply for permission from Council's Building Department to build on it. Your proposal will be assessed by a Flood Officer, who will consider a range of issues including minimising the flood impact on your development and any impact of overflow water on neighbouring properties. This process is called Report and Consent. At Prossor Town Planning we apply for the report and consent (if applicable) on your behalf as part as part of the planning application process. For more information on our services please contact us on 1300 342 937.

05.01.2022 We recently received notification that the Mornington Peninsula Shire have a new GIS environment for the public to use. We were very happy to hear this news after the disappearance of PenMaps. From a brief review of the new system it seems to have improved information and functionality! There are two environments: 1. Online Maps - Simple to use but limited functionality and is theme based, i.e. General, Aerial photos, Assets and Planning. These also work quite well on small...er devices like tablets and smart phones. The simple version is available via a link on the Shire’s website. Go to http://mornpen.vic.gov.au/maps and select the button ‘View online maps’. 2. Intra Maps - This is an environment aimed at the professional, with increased functionality to turn on/off layers and print easily. Click on the following link https://maps.mornpen.vic.gov.au/IntraMaps97/?project=Public We hope you are as excited as us to have a play with the new system and provide any feedback or questions to the Shire at [email protected].
