11.01.2022 Daily Meditation: Friday, May 7, 2021 Demands - the whole body makes demands, but there must be a head in charge "When we study human beings, we see that everyt...hing within them makes demands the stomach asks for food; the ears ask for sounds; the eyes ask for light and colour; and the mouth, nose, and sexual organs all ask for something too. So, the whole body makes demands, which is wonderful, marvellous and natural. But there must be a head in charge of all these demands to see if it can satisfy them, otherwise there will be chaos. People will eat and drink too much or not enough, they will overexpose themselves to heat or cold; they will not hear or see the dangers. So, it is good that the body clamours for what it needs, but only as long as the head is there to guide it, and decide when to accept, when to refuse and how much to give. Demands and requests come from all sides, but the head must always be there, in order to distribute everything according to divine rules and proportions." Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov

09.01.2022 Daily Meditation: Sunday, May 16, 2021 Human beings are placed between matter and the spirit - "God has given inertia to matter and impetus to the spirit, and h...uman beings are placed between the two. They are outwardly covered with matter, but the spirit dwells within them. This means that they are subject to a twofold influence: at times they are animated by the spirit, and at others, matter tries to engulf them and drag them back to primeval chaos. Humans must constantly struggle to remain inwardly active so that the currents may flow; if they give in to inertia they become a swamp. This is what happens to people who do no intellectual, spiritual or divine work they become foul-smelling bogs infested with tadpoles, frogs and bugs. Whereas those who are enlightened, well directed and guided not only take care never to repress the spirit, but open all their doors to it. And once the spirit is king, it begins to pacify, harmonize, vivify and illuminate the whole of their being." Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov

08.01.2022 Daily Meditation: Saturday, May 8, 2021 Evolution - a person’s evolution can be determined by the intensity of the light emanating from them "In response to a ...question he was asked, Master Peter Deunov once said you could tell what a person’s degree of evolution was by the intensity of the light emanating from them. I was very young at the time, I did not yet have these criteria and this reply made such a deep impression on me that from then on it became the foundation of a large part of my existence. Throughout my life, I too have seen that we could judge people by their light. Of course, this light is not actually visible, but one can sense it in the way a person looks at you, in their facial expression and in the harmony of their gestures. This light does not depend on intellectual faculties or education; it is a manifestation of divine life. It is this light we must seek, without ever feeling that we have had enough." 04.01.2022 The Creative Word A mantra, a sacred formula is like a mould that must be filled with intense life, that is to say, with love and faith. When a formula is spo...ken out loud, it sets in motion currents that rise through the heavenly hierarchies up to the throne of God. A formula must always be pronounced at least three times in order to reach the three worlds physical, spiritual and divine. Tireless repetition of the same formula penetrates the depth of the subconscious where the roots of our being lie, and it is there, in the roots of our being, that we have great possibilities of transformation. It is important to pronounce the formulas aloud because sound is extremely powerful on the physical plane. If you think a formula without saying it, its forces accumulate only on the mental plane and nothing happens on the physical plane. The spoken word is necessary in order to give invisible forces the power to act. The trouble is that most human beings use words, the faculty of speech, in such prosaic ways that they can no longer understand this creative role. Let us first take a look at how speech is produced. The spoken word is produced by the mouth which has a tongue and two lips: the tongue represents the masculine principle and the lips the feminine principle, and when they act together, they produce speech, the child. If we simply open our mouth, we cannot produce words, only sounds. In order to produce articulate speech, the lips and tongue must work together; in other words, the masculine and feminine principles must be united. Then, let us say that the tongue is the father and the lips the mother and that their speech is the child. This means that what the father gives the mother is the creative Word, the Word that animates and gives life. Just as the sun fertilises the earth and man fertilises woman, the Divine Word fertilises souls and hearts. The one who speaks is the father, the one who listens becomes the mother and the sentiments, emotions, thoughts and actions that are born are the children. If we want to access the true creative power of words, we have to know the conditions it requires in order for it to be magically effective. Thought creates things, colours, forms and vibrations, on a higher level and speech materialises them by causing particles of matter to adhere to certain lines of force. This is why speech is necessary in order to realise our thoughts and desires on the physical plane. However, before we can achieve this, there is a law that we must know. Let us use an image: the words are like the barrel of a gun and our thought or desire is the gunpowder. If we do not put any gunpowder in the barrel, we can aim and pull the trigger as much as we like, but nothing will happen. On the other hand, if our gun has no barrel, we cannot aim our bullets. The barrel gives our projectile direction and the gunpowder gives it power, impetus. First, therefore, we must have potent, ardent thoughts and feelings; secondly, we must aim them in desired direction by means of words. Psychic energy and words must be combined; both are necessary. It is not wise to underestimate the power of speech; it is extremely important, for it is through speech that we keep our inner tensions in equilibrium. When we pray and meditate in silence, we generate psychic energy and it is important to give this energy an outlet in speech. Failure to do so, can cause problems. An excessive build-up of forces and tensions can destabilise our inner equilibrium. Words can be the means, the clothes these forces need in order to manifest themselves and be effective. If we fail to give our accumulated psychic energy an outlet, it will explode and destroy us. So, it is very important, especially after intense inner spiritual work, to project this energy and give it a goal; and this is precisely the function of speech. 04.01.2022 The purpose of self-mastery is to manifest love The role and purpose of a Master is to help us find our inner Master, that being who is always within us and wit...h whom we have to identify and unite. It is in becoming one with that inner master that we become master of ourselves, capable of ruling, enlightening and educating the teeming population of cells and entities that inhabit us. To be a Master is, first and foremost, to possess both self-mastery and absolute criteria of discernment (our two natures, our personality or lower self and our individuality or higher Self, their natures and tendencies). Very few human beings in the world fulfil these conditions; in fact, there is a hierarchy amongst Masters: they do not all reach the same degree of perfection. There are different degrees reaching all the way to the sun, to God, and it is a magnificent thing to be part of this hierarchy of Masters. Those who aspire to be a Master must fulfil three conditions. First they must know the essential truths; not what human beings have written, created or taught, but those things which are essential in the eyes of Cosmic Intelligence. Secondly, they must have the will to dominate, master and control every aspect of themselves. And finally, their knowledge and self-dominance must be used exclusively to manifest the qualities and virtues of disinterested love. Yes, knowledge and will are simply means which must be put at the service of love and kindness. What a contrast this is to the usual order of things! The things that most human beings consider to be ends in themselves, an Initiate considers as means, and vice versa. What is the point of learning? Is it an end in itself? No, it is not. And what is the purpose of work? Why exert oneself and develop one’s strength? Simply in order to manifest love: to allow love to flow throughout the world and bring life and joy to every creature. There is only one end, one goal: love. This is what the sun tells us.
