25.01.2022 Our 2020 Women in Construction Program in partnership with RoadTek is in full swing, and we wanted to take a look back at last years program and the experience... of its participants. The 2019 program offered a unique opportunity for women without any prior experience to enter the construction industry through a structured training and employment program. The training provided a realistic overview of the civil construction maintenance industry, and provided key information on both Protech and RoadTek as employers. With this great outcome last year, we look forward to hearing about the result of the 2020 program!

The significance of this relationship is the coming together of four 100% Australian owned businesses to work on a key infrastructure project in Queensland to deliver local benefits to business and community. The Bruce Highway Upgrade Cooroy to Curra Section D project, is a $1 billion joint investment by the Federal and State Governments into improving Queensland’s infrastructure. It involves a 26km realignment and upgrade of the Bruce Highway to four lanes between Woondum and Curra and is a high priority road project. The Bielby BMD Joint Venture will be constructing the first of two main contracts on the Section D project. A key outcome from the project is to work with stakeholders to boost the Queensland economy and be a positive influence in people’s lives.
