22.01.2022 The ongoing degradation of Queensland landscapes.

21.01.2022 Nature in all its glory...so beautiful.

20.01.2022 It’s so obvious - National Parks are great for the economy. Please sign the petition And they provide for Nature of course. A win, win, but more funding is needed to manage country well.

20.01.2022 Whoa, not a good move LNP. Democracy deteriorating by the day

19.01.2022 Ideas on what this does to the upper atmosphere? No problem

17.01.2022 So often we acknowledge First Nations People, past, present and emerging but we allow atrocities like this to occur. Then natural custodians are arrested, because they protest their pain.

15.01.2022 This is why shooting wild fowl is such a bad idea. If these chaps can’t tell the difference between a pig and a horse, we can be sure they would have trouble identifying Black Duck versus Freckled Duck in flight.

15.01.2022 Best possible post for Threatened Species Day. Huge congratulations to Dr April Reside on becoming a Queensland Tall Poppy.

10.01.2022 Walker Group claims that the "long narrow channel" into Toondah Harbour needs to be upgraded, in their public attack on political candidate Claire Richardson. ...But this claim is untrue. In her response to Walker Group's attack, Claire Richardson says the existing channel meets safety requirements and no upgrade is needed to meet present needs according to written advice provided to her by Maritime Safety Queensland (the agency responsible for waterways). How much more nonsense will find its way into Walker Group's EIS? See more

08.01.2022 All wells will fail over time but by then the gas companies will be long gone leaving the toxic mess for future generations to deal with.

06.01.2022 Six years on and Santos are in the Piliga. Nothing has changed - water is precious and as we understand better now with climate change, more precious than ever. The consequences of mismanagement of the Murray-Darling Rivers are also well known four years on. So why would we risk the recharge waters of the Great Artesian Basin? Post Covid, a gas led recovery is a mockery of the wishes of so many communities.

05.01.2022 Thank you lovely people.

04.01.2022 Indeed we do. I will like this page - will you. The most important vote is to demand a safe environment.

03.01.2022 Our PM needs to join in with this. I think Biden will (hoping he gets in, as his opponent won't be interested). https://www.theguardian.com//world-leaders-pledge-to-halt- World leaders pledge to halt earth destruction, and support wildlife conservation.

03.01.2022 Representing a landmark collaboration between AWC and the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (as part of the NSW Government’s Saving Our Species program), ...our work in the Pilliga helps protect a vital piece of habitat for Australia’s threatened species. Already a refuge for a suite of wildlife, the Pilliga project area is now the site of an ambitious reintroduction program of at least six locally extinct mammals. AWC Operations Manager, Wayne Sparrow, and Acting Regional Ecologist, Dr Greg Holland, provide an update on the Pilliga Project.
