15.01.2022 When does the wet season finish? According to the ‘Code of Practice: Petroleum Activities’ it ends on the 1st of March! BOM and the Pepper Inquiry’s Final Report both state that the wet season ends on the 1st of May. ... Why the discrepancy? Is it because the oil and gas industry are not allowed to frack in the wet season? Is it due to the NT Government’s statement, "The scientific approach is not the only approach. We also take our lead from industry as well"? Cyclone Trevor (pictured) resulted in evacuations of the Beetaloo and MacArthur Basin areas on March 22nd, and we have had cyclones and flooding as late as May. When do you think the wet season ends?
