Before selling or pawning the items, the owner updates the details so they no longer appear on the database. Anyone can search for free, but no one can see who an item belongs to. Registered Pawnbrokers or Police can send a message to the owner of an item to alert them their property has been recovered. The system is safe, secure and anonymous.
