25.01.2022 NO JUSTICE NO PEACE ! Well done Perth : @centaine_scolari

24.01.2022 Sometimes we may forget about the shared experiences that Indigenous/POC have, and how those experiences are wholly encouraged by socio-economic circumstances. This affects young Indigenous people disproportionately, especially when it comes to the world of sport. Our biggest opportunities may come when we are young, but how are we meant to take advantage of them in the face of so many roadblocks? And what can the media do to help? Check out our latest article below.

19.01.2022 With restrictions easing slowly, and clubs opening up, we're excited as ever to see some talented local acts back on the scene. ProudRoots have found four stellar Indigenous musical acts representing WA in one way or another, and we think you should check them out in the meantime! We can't wait to see where these talented folk go in their music careers. @madjitilmoorna @hyclass_hyclass @thestrugglingkings @ziggyramo ... Who have you been listening to lately? @ Perth, Western Australia

10.01.2022 You might not be reading or hearing about it anymore since earlier this week, but Black lives still matter. 437 deaths too many. Click through for some thoughts on the rally last Saturday, as well as more information on who to follow and where to donate. ... What are your thoughts on the current situation happening globally? Have you reflected on your own position in Australia, or wherever you're reading from?

08.01.2022 There is no place for racism and inequality in our society. It stops with us. As a State cultural institution, we are committed to being a place of multiple vo...ices and shared narratives where contested histories are confronted and cultural stories celebrated. Exhibitions such as Outside: Matters of the heart in Indigenous art curated by Carly Lane, AGWA Curator of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art, are essential as a way of inviting an exchange of ideas and cultural knowledge, driving change through understanding, and acknowledging where we are today. I encourage everyone to hear the powerful stories of Aboriginal lived experience within this exhibition and of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We stand in solidarity with those fighting to end systemic racism and the violence it inflicts on the Black community, recognising that we haven’t done enough to end this racism and we will do more. 08.01.2022 As WA's push for supporting local tourism continues across the state, many still may not be aware of the horrific histories of some of our most popular tourist spots. Rottnest Island, or Wadjemup, is one such place, and many locals still are not fully aware of it's history.
