18.01.2022 The Stanley collective makes its mark. Try the Cape Grim Beef Provenance Kitchen Cooking School Experience. Book your tickets at https://offthetable.io//proven...ance-kitchen-by-cape-grim-be. "This year Provenance Kitchen, in conjunction with Off The Table, will also be offering of dining experiences where visitors can take part in a farm tour, which is then followed by a gourmet dinner feature the region’s beef and abalone served at Highfield. Emma said visitors are looking for unique experiences and like being able to see first hand how local food is produced. I’ve done cooking schools around the world and I think it’s a good way to meet local people and get that really authentic experience, she said. The Stanley area is also steeped in history, which adds another drawcard for potential visitors. Since buying the original Western Plains property, the Bruce family have also added another five adjoining properties including the well known Highfield, which was part of an original Royal Charter Land Grant in 1826. Highfield became the headquarters for the Van Diemen Land Co with construction of a managers residence there in 1835. In 1982 the historic house and outbuildings were sold to the National Estate so they could be restored and used as a tourist destination. Many of the pastures still productive today on Western Plains were sown in the about 1853 when convict labour was also used to build about 1.7km of stone wall fencing there. The Bruces’ operation is spread over 625ha, which includes about 60ha which is reserved for wildlife. All up they run about 1000 head of cattle, which includes a herd of 340 Angus and South Devon breeders along with replacement heifers and heifers and steers that are being fattened."

12.01.2022 The last of the cupcakes! ORDERS FOR CAKES/CUPCAKES ARE CLOSED. At this stage regretfully I’m not able to keep up with my commitments and continue to offer cakes to the standard that I expect (And get any sleep at night! ) so I’ve made the difficult decision that until further notice cake orders will not be taken. All orders that are already booked in will still be done (don’t stress!) ... Thanks for your understanding!
