25.01.2022 It's now getting into the scary time of the fire conditions and yet I'm still seeing cigarette butts being thrown from car wndows. Seriously?? Potentially this ...act of littering can endanger lives as well as livelihoods of those who depend on the agricultural sector. Today the RFS alert level is up again. We have people ready to go if needed, but no where as many as we need. You see this is why we are always after new members. Please - no fires of any kind, no use of power tools that throw sparks outdoors, just none. The current state won't be improved until it rains properly. There are crews already out working on a fire in the greater Fassifern area for the past few days. It's dry and it's nasty. Prepare your bush fire plans NOW.
