25.01.2022 We got Brandy up for some handling today. He had to have a drink in the middle. Clover was such a good girl putting up with his nonsense. Such a cutie.

25.01.2022 Had a great week playing in the mud with the horses. Rosie once again tried her hand at being a trick horse, Misty got to try on a new rug and Kateema got to have some work. A trip to the vet for a couple of dental checks made for a busy and wet week. Thanks to both my helpers I couldnt have accomplished so much this week without you.

18.01.2022 These guys take baby guard duty seriously. There are 3 horses surrounding baby Brandy. All so close they could easily step on him but never would. Comet in the front, Clover( his dam) next to him you can see her muzzle under Comet’s chin and brother Zeus on the other side, you can see his head at Comet’s rump. I love seeing my horses in a herd. The only bad thing is he has eaten all their tails. This was my view when I walked out my door yesterday.

17.01.2022 Christmas has come early this week at Providence Walers. We would like to welcome this gorgeous mare Mt Weld Governess. Originally bred at Mt Weld station in WA, Governess has made the trip from Tribute Walers in QLD to join us. I’m feeling just a little spoilt.

10.01.2022 Its taken me a while to write this tribute to Providence Bishari whom we lost earlier this year at the age of 30, she came to us in 1989 off Jinka station and was the founding mare of Providence Walers. Although she was never quite domesticated after being born on an outback station she contributed to the Waler breed as we know it today. Some of her foals went to on to be breeding Walers and others found their new homes with loving owners. Some of her foals include Providence Redman, Providence Amazing Grace, Providence Chocolate Fudge, Providence Topaz, Providence Murringo Mist. Her legacy will live on.

10.01.2022 Providence Walers would like to welcome a winter addition to our stud, a gorgeous bay/brown colt out of Messines Clover(Newhaven) by Providence Bismark(Cordillo/Jinka). He ended up arriving on a nice sunny day after a week of rain and drizzle.

07.01.2022 Congratulations to the Providence horses on our results in the ridden component of the National Online Waler show. Trublu Tapestry and Shannon were 1st Show hunter Galloway, 1st lady rider 18-25 and 2nd ridden Waler mare over 8 years. Ashton and Providence Comets Fire were 1st in child rider under 7 years and Michelle and Comet entered into the Light Horse presentation with success. We would like to thank all the organisers, the judge and the other competitors. Congratulations to all the winners on your excellent results.

Clover stands 15.3hh measured unofficially, medium type. She throws wonderful bone into foals with the last two looking to mature over 16hh. She is surplus to our stud requirements. We entered 5 horses, Tribute Midnight, Shy Lil Zeus, Providence Murringo Mist, Providence Comets Fire and Trublu Tapestry. Congratulations to Shannon Robertson and Ashton Robertson on winning their handler classes. Also well done Providence Walers in winning the group of 2 progeny. Comet and Misty both sired by Providence Carbineer( dec.), a wonderful legacy of 30 years of breeding. Congratulations to Zeus and Kali (Anzac You am I) on their 3rd place both sired by Newhaven Shy Red.
